Great tour and experience. Exceptionally professional and helpful tour guide. From the first contact and booking, until the end of the tour. Efficient, punctual, knowledgeable and caring team. I would not hesitate to recommend and use this company again.

We booked the “3 Day Tambopata Sandoval Lake & Monkey Island Tour” through Quechuas Expeditions Peru, which actually subcontracts another company to run the tour locally and does not have an office in Puerto Maldonado. When we arrived at Puerto Maldonado airport early in the morning, no one was there to pick us up. The WhatsApp number we had been using was no longer receiving my messages, and we did not have the contact of the local agency operating the tour. We waited about 45 minutes at the airport, unsure whether we had been scammed, before finally receiving a reply. When we reached the local agency, communication was also poor. There was no apology or explanation. The person at the desk simply continued working while we stood there, and only after asking did we learn that we were waiting for other guests to arrive. Once at the jungle lodge, everything went smoothly, with great vegetarian food. Our guide was great, enthusiastic about the nature wonders. Despite heavy rain on the first day, we were able to complete almost all the activities, except the Monkey Island and kayaking.

Buena experiencia con el tour. El problema es que no envían boleta electrónica

The trip was great, I would do it again !! Still, one had to deal with some peruvian style organization ...

We went for the 2d/1n tour with Quechuas expeditions to Machu Picchu by bus. Overall is was an nice tour, but not everything went really as expected. Communication directly with Quechuas went without a lot of problems; before the trip about the remaining payment (little miscommunication/understanding about when and where to finalize), responding trough WhatsApp, helping finding solution when our train back to Hidroelectrica was canceld and we would miss our bus for Hidroelectrica to Cusco. On the other hand; communication with there 'partners' was very different. For example: in the van after pickup in Cusco, we were told we would get a message around 5pm. This would be when we arrived in Agua Calientes after the hike (without a guide) from Hidroelectrica to Agua Calientes with more information about the hostel etc. We arrived before 5pm, but no messages. We were tired, wanted to check in and leave our stuff so we could visite the hot springs. Eventually (around 6:45pm and after a lot of texting with Quechuas) got in touch with right person... After some (mis)communication, finally went to the hostel (around 7:30pm). Honestly it felt like they forgot us/ forgot to book a hostel. The hostel was ok for 1 night, but very loud and next to the train. Sadly due to this, we couldnt visite the hot springs anymore. Got in touch with (another) local guide for Machu Picchu, gave some information and we were told where to go the next morning for the meetingpoint. At the meeting point, we had another local guide (Noé, he was great by the way!), also asking about the tickets for Machu Picchu. We didn't hear or recieved anything regarding the tickets, so he got in touch with the other guide who sended them to him with a entry for MP at 6am, while we were still in Aqua Calientes at 6am and had to arrange the bustickets. We got on the 6am bus, thanks to Noé for his help (and the bus was a little bit late). At Machu Picchu we had to wait for the rest of the group. Thanks again to Noé that he made sure we could enter with the rest of the group around 7am. Ofcourse Machu Picchu was great and for us Noé really saved the day with his optimisme and knowledge. And also, again, thanks to Quechuas Expeditions for there help to get us back to Cusco (without extra charges) after the train to Hidroelectrica got canceld!
