This retreat is a place where your grief can safely be seen and witnessed, wherever you are in the process — I understand personally how painful, lonely, and complicated grieving is.
Since grief can be overwhelming, exhausting, and confusing, you will be joining an immediate village of others going through the same experience, sharing sacred stories, moving through grief yoga, and learning practices for staying with your emotions, remembering with more love than pain, and releasing the burden of guilt.
By the end of this journey on Costa Rica's Pacific coast, you'll be forever connected to a tribe of fellow travelers, carrying with you the knowledge that it's possible to grieve fully and live fully.
There is no correct way or time to grieve — the loss you've experienced is unimaginable, and I hope this retreat will be a beacon of hope and comfort during one of the most difficult times you'll ever face, held at Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort along Costa Rica's Pacific coast where ocean, jungle, and healing energy surround you. I am a welcoming, supportive space holder who knows exactly what you're going through, because I am walking this same path with you, and together over 7 days we'll move through grief yoga, mindfulness, transformational group sessions, daily excursions, and delicious food. Your loss matters, your pain matters — come open your broken heart to your new tribe, and let's find healing together.
Costa Rica attracts people from all over the planet looking for healing — its jungle, ocean, and pura vida spirit have an undeniable energy that can transform people's lives. Join me and a tribe of like-minded people for 7 amazing days at Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort on Costa Rica's Pacific coast, where my grief & healing retreats are aimed at having your pain witnessed, your feelings shared, releasing any burdens of guilt, and integrating your pain with your love. Each day of the grief & healing retreat is thoughtfully curated to blend deep emotional healing with restorative spaciousness. Mornings begin slowly and intentionally with a comforting cup of your favorite beverage, gentle grounding practices, and quiet moments to attune to the energy of Mount Shasta. After breakfast, you’ll move into heart-opening workshops and intimate group sessions designed to unravel guilt, release emotional heaviness, and reconnect you to your inner wisdom. These sessions are balanced with guided somatic experiences, journaling prompts, and breathwork to help your body integrate what your heart uncovers.
Afternoons unfold at a softer pace, creating space for personalized 1:1 coaching with Heather, luxurious self-care sessions, and sacred nature immersions across Mount Shasta’s most healing landscapes. You may find yourself walking silently among ancient pines, meditating beside crystalline spring water, or reflecting during a private massage or sauna session. Evenings are reserved for integration rituals—gentle circles, restorative practices, and chef-prepared meals that nourish you back into ease. Each day builds upon the last, creating a rhythmic journey from release to renewal, and from emotional burden to inner clarity. By the end of the retreat, you aren’t simply restored—you’re transformed.
Nourishment at this retreat is an experience of its own—your local chef prepares each meal from fresh, local, organic ingredients sourced from nearby farms and coastal markets, crafted to support nervous system regulation, reduce inflammation, and bring your body back into balance. From vibrant breakfasts to grounding lunches and luxurious chef-prepared dinners, every bite is thoughtfully aligned with the emotional work you're doing along the coast—with all dietary needs, from gluten-free to vegan, honored with precision. A three-times-daily buffet is also available, offering a fresh spread of veggies, salads, organic chicken, fish, meat, and delicious vegan options.
