This is a custom ActivSport Travel Tour created for Fairfield University Rugby Club to sightsee and to play games in Barcelona and Montpellier in January 2020. City tours, cultural excursions, and other activities as listed, are all included throughout the tour.

What's included
Trip Leaders
Full-time Trip Leaders assigned to your team for the duration of the trip and available to answer questions, handle emergencies, etc.
Airfare
Round trip airfare, including taxes, fuel surcharges, and fees from USA to Europe (ground only option available if you would prefer to purchase your own airfare)
Guided Tours/Activities
All guided tours/activities (including entrance fees) to cultural/historic sites, museums, games and sports related expenses, and other points of interest as listed are included throughout the tour
Ground Transportation
All ground transportation costs upon arrival in Europe (including fuel surcharges, tolls, and parking)

Accommodation each night at 3 & 4-star equivalent properties

January 8
Travel Day
Depart JFK 11:00 pm on DY7026 for a direct flight to Barcelona.
January 9
Arrive in Barcelona
The ActivSport Travel staff will meet you outside the baggage claim, transfer to Gaudi's Parc Guel to visit, then to the hotel to check-in. After, we will participate in a rugby service project with local youth players (schedule permitting). Dinner then evening to relax.

Barcelona Bike Tour & Rugby Match #1
Today we discover Barcelona on an unforgettable guided bike tour, certainly the best way to visit the city! Highlights will include Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter and its narrow picturesque streets, Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia, and more! Rugby match #1.

January 11
FC Barcelona, Train to Montpellier, Evening Rugby Watch Party
Today we will visit FC Barcelona’s famous Camp Nou stadium and museum of its multi-sport club history including FC Barcelona Rugby! From there we will continue on to Montpellier, France by train. The sunny Mediterranean Coast of the South of France is home to beautiful landscapes and a true Rugby culture! In the evening we will have a dinner watch party to see Montpellier's pro rugby team play its European Champions Cup away match vs. Gloucester (UK)!

Montpellier Guided Tour, Rugby Stadium Visit
We will start the day by discovering the charming city of Montpellier on a fun and relaxing walking tour. After, we have a team lunch and then will visit Montpellier’s Professional Rugby stadium. After, we will allow time for shopping and exploration of Montpellier.

January 13
Pont du Gard, Nimes, Rugby Match #2
Today we will visit the Pont du Gard, a stunning ancient Roman Aqueduct spanning the Gard River. After we will visit the Arena in Nimes, a fine example of a Roman colosseum used in many films! After we will return to Montpellier for Exhibition match #2 vs the University of Montpellier Medical School. Dinner/social after the match with the other team.

January 14
Montpellier to Girona, Return to the USA
8:00a - departure by private bus to Girona, Spain.
11:00a-1:30p - Time to visit Girona's historic city center and to get lunch
1:30p-3:00p - Bus travels Girona to BCN airport
6:05p - Depart Barcelona 6:05 pm on DY7025 on a direct flight to JFK, arriving 9:00 pm.
