Isla Lobos tour + Beach
After breakfast we start our tour to Lobos Island. This is a small flat islet, named this way for being home to a large colony of sea lions, which play on the beaches and rest on the rocks. It is also a great place to observe nesting frigate birds and blue footed boobies. It has a protected channel where you can do snorkeling with sea lions and sea turtles.

You will go in a small boat for about 25 minutes to Lobos Island. From the boat you can watch its wildlife before disembarking on the island. During the guided tour on land you can see Frigate birds, Blue Footed Boobies and Sea lLons that live here. Afterwards you will have time to snorkel and swim with playful sea lions and observe rays and turtles. After this visit you will continue to Playa Ochoa (or similar). This white coral beach offers the opportunity to walk around and relax or bathe in the shallow waters before returning to Baquerizo Moreno Port. You will have a lunch onboard.

After a nice breakfast we will go trekking to an active volcano. This 4-5 hours (16km both ways) hike to Volcán Sierra Negra and Volcán Chico will offer you breathtaking views of the second largest oceanic crater in the world as well as amazing views of northern Isabela Island. Enjoy a Box lunch with this view.

Return to your hotel, and enjoy a free afternoon to walk to Humedales or "La Galapaguera" (Tortoise Breeding center).

Snorkeling and walking guided tour to "Lobos Island", Love Channel, "Las Grietas" and "Playa de los Perros" (Dog's Beach). Return to your hotel and in then enjoy a free afternoon walking to the famous white beach of Tortuga Bay (a beautiful beach top 5 in the world). Swim in "Playa Mansa" and enjoy kayaking if you'd like (not included $10 pp). After breakfast we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the pier for a great snorkeling day tour to Santa Fé Island. We will snorkel with abundant marine wildlife at a beautiful turquoise lagoon and then head to "Hidden" beach. Lunch on board. Sport Fishing (Catch & release) might be practiced.

Breakfast at your hotel and then we pick you up to take our comfortable yacht that will take us to the incredible island of North Seymour. This uninhabited island is one of our favorites for animal lovers. Here you will see a large colony of Blue-footed boobies and the extremely photogenic Great Frigate birds. Also lookout for swallow-tailed gulls, marine iguanas, land iguanas, sea lions and more.

North Seymour is particularly famous for its elegant Frigate birds that, during mating season, rewards us with the vision (and photographs) of males inflating their guttural pouch into an enormous scarlet-red balloon to attract the females.

After a delicious lunch onboard the yacht, we head to Bachas Beach, a beautiful white coralline expanse. This is the perfect place for practicing snorkeling, swimming or to simply enjoy the white soft sand. Several brackish lagoons only a few steps away from the sea provide feeding grounds for various wading birds, from stilts to flamingos.

*Tour can change to Bartholomew, Plazas or Santa Fé Islands depending on availability.

Although this part of the trip was not what is should have been - it was still wonderful. Juan Pablo was amazing to help out when my hubs was suffering with altitude sickness. Instead of going to the farm - we had to have a last minute change and Juan Pablo got us a hotel in the valley to help ease the altitude sickness. We really enjoyed that hotel. Sadly we did not get to see the condors - the fog came in and the visibility disappeared but we did see a ton of hummingbirds. The hot springs were to die for!!!! I did a chocolate wrap in the spa that was quite relaxing. I highly recommend working with Juan Pablo to figure out what will work best for you and your group!!!!

Juan Pablo planned our trip and he was so patient and kind during the whole process. I always have a ton of questions - and he always responded very quickly with detailed information. ANYTHING he recommended was wonderful. It was such a blessing to work with him! He reached out every day of the trip to see how things were going and if he could help out in any way. Each day on this adventurous trip we encountered another magical thing!!! We cannot say we loved one island more than the next or one day trip more than the next but we can easily come up with 3 of the most incredible things per day. The wildlife was amazing, the color of the water was so vivid, wonderful sunsets, and many of the beaches had the finest powder sand. It was also super refreshing to be somewhere that was not jam packed busy, huge buildings, and having advertisements in your face all day. Juan Pablo of Smart Galapagos organised a fantastic 8 day Galapagos experience for my group of 4 friends. It could not have been better organised.
