About this trip

When the scent of wood burning fires and roasted chestnuts fill the air, and the crowds of tourists are long gone, Tuscany shines even brighter.

Outdoor Christmas markets pop up in each village and their ancient streets are aglow with twinkling lights and nativity scenes.

Cortona is  a charming and walkable village with loads of adorable properties from self catering apartments to full service hotels, so there is something for everyone, all located in the historic center of the walled village, and are a short walk to shops, bars, and restaurants. We will meet each day for our excursions, classes, and meals.

For this tour you can now book your own accommodations or choose the package which includes the accommodations.  See our suggested list of properties below if booking on your own.

Tours are designed and led by husband and wife chefs Joe and Angela Cicala. Traveling in small groups, (max 12 guests per tour), allows for amazing experiences not always possible when traveling with a large company. Joe and Angela have split their time living and working in Italy and America over the past 25 years, and own and operate their namesake Italian restaurant, Cicala, in Philadelphia PA. They return often to some of the most remote towns in Italy for culinary research in order to share their passion and knowledge with you.
