What a lovely walk in the countryside and then a delicious morning tea. Everything was so well organised. I will come again :)

The Cat Charity Countryside Walk was an absolute delight from start to finish. Set against beautiful countryside scenery, the walk brought together a nice group of people, all supporting the wonderful work done for the Silves street cats. The event was very well organised, with clear guidance, a lovely route, and plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings. After the walk we were treated to tea, coffee, and delicious homemade cakes. The hosts at Figs on the Funcho were fantastic. Their venue is stunning, and it’s no surprise they’ve won awards for their cooking holidays and workshops. It’s a truly special place :))

We had an absolutely fantastic time on this cookery course. From the moment we arrived, the hosts Cheryl and Graham were warm, friendly and genuinely passionate about making everyone feel welcome. The small group size created a relaxed, sociable atmosphere, and the accommodation was beautiful — modern, comfortable ensuite rooms that made it feel like a real getaway. The cooking itself was superb. Every day brought a delicious variety of recipes, with all ingredients thoughtfully laid out and recipe cards provided to take home. The food we created (and ate!) was outstanding, and the hands-on guidance made even the trickier dishes feel achievable. We also really appreciated the help with washing up — a small thing perhaps, but it made the whole experience feel smooth and enjoyable and like a holiday. The course was perfectly balanced with some lovely outings too, including a visit to a winery and a trip to the local town market, which added a wonderful sense of place and inspiration. We thoroughly recommend this experience. It exceeded our expectations in every way and is ideal for anyone who loves great food, good company and learning new skills in a beautiful setting. Thanks again! emma and mark

Thank you for a lovely evening! My sister and I enjoyed the cooking together and the company and the food was delicious ! I would have preferred to come for lunch, so we could have enjoyed the beautiful surrounding but this was great too.

We had a lovely day on Monday with Graham and Cheryl cooking various Ottolenghi recipes and then eating our efforts. It was great fun and very well organised and I will definitely join another cooking experience in the future
