Delicious food, very comfortable beds, calming yoga, life changing hour long pranayama teachings, and practices like walks in the lavender maze, the agni practice, reiki, ayuvedic massage, and art, all made this retreat led by Megan perfection. The hiking through the blooming and humming spring meadows with the snow clad distant Sierra Nevada Mountains, plus a walk to a neighboring goat farm across a stream gushing with snow melt, showcased nature at its best with the goat cheese available for purchase being the cherry on the top. Thank you to Megan for leading/organizing and Deepak for creating your beautiful retreat venue for us all to experience!

This was my first yoga retreat and it was beyond anything I could have hoped for! Meg is an incredibly kind, warm-hearted person who went above & beyond to make this experience the best it could be for us as individuals and as a community, from helping us be prepared, to arranging carpools and room-sharing, to planning and leading lots of fun and meaningful activities. The love and care Meg put into this retreat was evident and much appreciated. I will always cherish the wisdom Deepak shared with us, and enjoyed learning various pranayama practices. His retreat center is amazing; it's warm, inviting, well-equipped, and simply beautiful. The views the location offers cannot be beat, and there are many opportunities for outdoor activities of varying levels- there are options for all, from hiking hills to vistas overlooking the massive Sierra Nevada mountains and wildflower-speckled foothills, to walks down to the gorgeous creek. And then there was the food- absolutely delicious, vegetarian meals, some of the best I've had, all homemade fresh with local, organic ingredients, many of which are grown right on the property. This retreat truly was a transformative experience. For the past few months, before the retreat, I was in a rough place. I found such a sense of inner peace while there, and since returning, my mindset has been more positive and I've found myself truly finding joy and wonder in the little things like the squirrels and birds that visit my yard and the flowers I see on my walks. Even others in my life have commented on how much happier and at ease I seem these days, and I can feel it. I'm already looking forward to more life-changing experiences like this! Thank you Meg, Deepak, Jocelyn (super-talented chef!) and everyone who has made the Vedanta Retreat Center the wholesome and life-changing place that it is.
