Was a great show, wonderful meal and good friends!

Dinner & Show were very good. Lots of fun. Best of Travel has great staff.
Also, Overall service at Danversport was terrific as always. They really
know how to service a function. Their wait staff is aways pleasant, efficient & accommodating!!

While the meal and show tribute were grand, I and seven others are bewildered regarding transportation.
We eight had signed up for the show and expected motor coach transportation and an escort.
Our cost was 42 dollars more than those who chose to drive themselves.
Apparently due to lack of riders, the travel company issued money back to Sarah at the Newburyport Council on Aging.
She did her best to provide alternate transportation by securing the Council's van and a driver who had not been scheduled for that time plus provide a meal, rather than have to cancel.
My sense is that we eight overpaid for what we received and a partial refund would be appropriate as well as a nice gesture.

Excellent trip.  It was our first experience on a bus trip.  It was great, we met a lot of nice people and enjoyed all the places we visited. 

Dear Greg - Thank you for your comments.  We completely agree with you regarding the table assignment issues.  It is unfortunate that a person from the other group on the bus claimed to be in charge of your group, taking the tickets that belonged to your group, and haphazardly distributing tickets.    The group leader from Albert Harris was informed pre-trip they would need to have a representative on the bus to take the tickets and distribute them to the group as the US postal system was unable to deliver a paid for 2- 3 Day priority mail package for more than 2 weeks.  We did follow up with your group leader to determine how such a mess up could happen, especially when we found out the Director of the Albert Harris Senior Center was on the bus attending the trip and did not step up to introduce herself to us, or to say anything regarding the person that claimed be to in charge of Albert Harris group and was not.  We pride ourselves in being extremely thorough when it comes to seating at the venues as 1 wrong seat can create a snowball effect.  This is why all guests are to arrive at our shows with their show ticket, and are kindly asked to sit at the table their ticket shows, which is ultimately assigned by your group leader.  We are thrilled you had a great time at the show.  We hope that our post-trip conversation with Albert Harris Senior Center will help to eliminate these issues moving forward.

Disorganization and messed up table assignments marred an otherwise excellent time.  Venue and the band were excellent.  Bus service smooth.  However, it is inexcusable to not pay attention to more detail with respect to assigned seating.  Two tables worth of people were seated at one table and none at another, and it took a considerable amount of effort to sort it out.

We enjoyed the luncheon, the show was fantastic, and the people we sat with were very hospitable.

Great luncheon and show!  The band and singers were much too loud!  Turn down the volume!

The trip was great. The food was delicious, the entertainment was very good. My only complaint was the bus driver. He totally talked down people on the bus like he thought we were stupid.  I also overheard him telling someone to stay out of his "3 foot area, that he only gets a small amount of space and doesn't want anyone in it. He said that to me also while I was assisting a disabled person with her crutches. I apparently stepped into his 3 foot space, when he wasn't even in the driver's seat yet.  Disappointing. I have had other driver that were great. I believe his name was Bob. 

Excellent show and venue.  Meal was hot and served promptly.

The show was excellent.  Food and accommodations good

It was the long ride from Concord NH

We had two stops one right in Boston.  It took over 3 hours to get there and at least that to return.   A direct bus trip would only take 2 hours.   I will no longer sigh up with Good Life for these trips.  This is the second time this happens.  Last trip had 4 stops. 



Danversport food & service was Great as Usual. The food was delicious. The performer as Olivia Newton John was terrific.

Best of Times Travel- Olivia Newton-John Tribute - Thur 10/23/2025

This was my first trip with Best of Times and it was very different from another bus company that I have travelled with frequently. First, we were not given a pickup time until 2 days before the show and we never did receive tickets. What should have been a trip of a little over two hours was 3 1/2 hours each way because the bus was scheduled to pick up other passengers in two Massachusetts locations. One location was in the middle of Boston some distance off the highway and during high volume traffic. So we spent a total of 7 hours on the bus for a meal and a show. The meal was good as was the show but I have to think that the show was a cut rate version because several times the singer said that she normally travelled with a band but in this show she only had a piano player. Everyone on the bus was questioning what was going on when the driver pulled into the breakdown lane on the interstate to run to the bathroom about 1 1/2 hours into the trip. It was not a smooth ride as he jabbed on his brakes at least a dozen times. The bus was comfortable for about 2 hours but 3 1/2 hours each way was just too much. It was all about filling the bus and not about the time and comfort of the attendees.  I would have to think long and hard about ever signing up for a trip again.

My group had a wonderful time. We really enjoyed the show. She is a fabulous entertainer.  The food was great as always. The bus ride & driver was a great experience. He got us there in a timely manner.

Waltham Friends- Olivia Newton-John Tribute - Thur 10/23/2025

We had a wonderful time!  The show was fantastic, as was the food.  

Our group had an enjoyable time on this trip. Food and service at  Danversport Yacht club never disappoints. Looking forward to the Talk Ships next year and the brunch at this same venue .

The concert itself was fantastic. Getting to and from the venue was miserable. 7.5 hours of travel both ways, way to much. we were 30 minutes late getting there. 

I had a great experience, the people were friendly, the food was delicious, and the entertainment was wonderful.The accommodations made it easy.

The foliage was a little disappointing. The tour guide was wonderful. The restaurant and food was outstanding. I also enjoyed the hayride through the orchard and the dairy farm visit. My only negative would be that it was a little too long.

Bonnie - Thank you for your constructive comments.  We at Best of Times Travel have always strived to provide our guests the very best value for their hard-earned money.  Our Day Trip programs always, with a very rare exception, include a meal that is designed  more as a dinner option versus small daytime lunch.  Again, the concept being value and that it will be the main meal for our guests for the day.  We will be sure to reach out to your group leader to discuss options for your group that might be shorter in duration, and feature scaled back menus.  These tours would be exclusive to your group, requiring meeting minimum passenger requirements.  We would welcome any suggestions and I am sure your group leader would love  your assistance in providing feedback on the trips and helping to increase your group's passenger attendance on programs.  Again, we truly appreciate your feedback to help us improve.

Our guide( Leslie) was cheerful and flexible, especially because the microphone did not work!!
The lunch spot was picturesque, however the food choices were inappropriate for most of us….very heavy, too many starches, my chicken was awful( I only tried 2 small bites). Please consider a choice of sandwiches, soup, salad- actually lunch food not a dinner entree( thx)
I noticed several folks did not even get off the bus for the final stop( Smith Dairy) because they were tired. Maybe shorter stops or 1 less stop. 
We did not return home until 6 pm.
I love  a bus trip - just a few tweaks to be improved upon. Thank you!


We had a great time!  The tour manager was great! Very knowledgeable and always with a smile.  
The restaurant was excellent! The meal was delicious.   
The stops were fun and I’ll be heading back to the cheese shop!!

the food was very good, but they scheduled more people that they could be comfortably handled.   So, there were long delays getting processed.  Buses backed up to waiting areas with gas fumes chocking waiting passengers.  There were 3 bathrooms for 6 busloads of people.

Only schedule the number of people you can accommodate and build more rest rooms.

Winthrop Senior CTR- NH's Turkey Train & Fall Foliage- Tues 10/7/25

The trip was ok. The meal was a buffet not table service as presented. The desert was a melon tiny melon ball serving of cheese cake with 1/2? of a cut up strawberry on it, placed on the beverage table. No explanation was given. The table setting had no spoon. The buffet had 1 dinner plate. No where was there a salad or bread plate. No glass for the can of soda or a glass of water. The food was not hot. 
We should have gone to King Arthur first instead of last. Everything was almost sold out. Fresh bake pastries should have been wonderful in the morning. 
There was too much time at the glass blowing stop. The cheapest item was $80. That time could have been spent at the Vermont Country Store. 

Newburyport COA- Simon Pearce Glass & King Arthur - Thurs 10/2/25

The bus pick us right at the Holliston Center which make the beginning of the trip easier. The tour guide -Allie who is such a pleasant and enthusiastic lady and of course the driver - Jack did  the great driving for the whole trip to make sure everyone get home safely, and can't wait to travel with the company again.

The Center in Holliston- Fall Foliage Day Trip - Wed 10/8/25

Susan - Thank you for your review.  We are sorry that you did not have a good time on the trip.  However, we did deliver on the program EXACTLY as advertised and promised to our guests.  There was NOTHING left out of this trip.  I would kindly ask that you carefully review the original advertised details of the trip as promised.  The trip entailed motorcoach transportation, the NH Turkey Train operated by Granite State Railway, and a Mystery stop after the train.  All 3 of these components were promised, delivered, and completed from our perspective.  We at Best of Times Travel have NO control over traffic conditions that may make drive times longer than anticipated, and we do err on the side of caution to make sure we do not miss the train, literally and figuratively speaking.  We have over 5 different Mystery Stop locations in our portfolio for this program, allowing us flexibility if some venues are closed or unwilling to take a bus group on a particular day.  Regarding the mystery stop, we do need to have a conversation with the group leader from the Winthrop Seniors that was sharing the bus with your organization.  We did hear from our Tour Manager that, in her opinion, participants on the bus were being "convinced" by NON Best of Times Travel staff to skip the historic Mills Falls building and shopping area which boasts a ton of history and incredibly unique shops that people travel from all over the country to experience.  The bus driver and group leader from Winthrop were emphatically told by our on-site Best of Times Travel staff to stop at the location.  Somehow from departure of the train station to the stop, the participants made a decision contrary to Best of Times Travel insistence of making the stop.  This is a conversation we WILL be having with the Motorcoach Company we hired to execute the trip, Coach Company.  Their drivers are to follow our direction, itinerary, and policies regardless of influence from NON Best of Times Travel Staff.  We did hear that the bus driver decided to drop the guests from Winthrop off first instead of second, again, against our policy and guidance.  This is an issue we must thoroughly address with Coach Company as one of our suppliers of service, and it WILL be addressed from our end.  However, the services were provided to our guests and there was absolutely NO false advertising as claimed in your review.

YUCK! I would never take another trip with your organization again.
We were picked up at 9:50 am and got back to the Salem Senior Center at 7:30 PM.
The driver was careful but it took almost 3 hours to get there with one stop for a bathroom break, then we waited in line for almost an hour to get on the train.
Dinner was very good and so was the train staff. The train drove about a mile or two, then reversed direction and took us back to the buses. ONE MEAL and endless driving for an exorbitant price. 50 old tired women in one bus for all day except 3 hours. 
YUCK YUCK. Your rep told us the stop promised on the way home was overbooked and we could go to a shopping mall instead. YUCK YUCK. We all voted to go right home, but the bus driver took us way out of our planned route to Windtrop instead of Salem first as was promised. Terrible  - bad planning and worse execution. 
I took this trip years ago and we had a train ride and then a boat ride with a nice meal, a band and drinks to buy. This was AWFUL.
You should give us a refund - false advertising - it was an endurance contest, not a fun day out. 
After reading the defense that Best of Times put out in response to my review, I reinterate that they provided an endurance contest, not a fun day out. They seem to have a hard time accepting any responsibility for their lack of proper planning. YUCK YUCK.

Salem, MA Sr. Ctr.- NH's Turkey Train & Fall Foliage- Tues 10/7/25

No bakers at the King Arthur Bakery was near closing when we arrived.   I was looking forward to see the baking but there was none. The Vermont Country Store was really good.  The buffet was very good.  The glass blowing was interesting.   Bus driver another issue but won't discuss it except to say some of us were anxious with his driving. All in all I give it 3*.



Well-executed itinerary with plenty of time at each stop. It was a beautiful day so travel and views were exceptional. 

My husband and I had a great time.  We enjoyed the Simon Pearse Glass demonstration and store.  That was our main reason for this trip.  Also enjoyed Vermont Country Store and King Arthur Flour.  Lunch was so good, enjoyed the pot roast!  Ed was a great bus driver and Allie was such a great Tour Guide!!!!!

Looking forward to other trips in the future.

Well organized and fun trip.We had adequate time everywhere, never felt rushed or felt I  didn't get to see or do everything .I would suggest telling people to bring the portable chairs that fold up into a bag and a little education about when balloons can fly, many people did not realize they can only ascend early in the AM or late afternoon/ early evening.

Tewksbury Garden Club- Lake George Balloon Festival 9/19-9/21/25


I was very disappointed in this trip.  Too much time was spent in the bus on back roads traveling at 30 - 40 mph.  I prefer the main highways and less time in the bus.  The visit to King Arthur Flour was not timed well.  We did not see any baking.  Also just about missed the glass blowing at the glass factory.

The trip was organized well and we enjoyed a smooth bus ride both ways. The venue was great!  The food was good and the Yacht Club did a great job serving the meals quickly.  The tribute show was enjoyable.

Norwood COA - America's Music Cities - Nashville & Memphis 2025

It was a beautiful day, so we didn't mind the hour plus drive it took to get to the venue. Once there, the facility was quite elegant.  The food was also very good.  The singer's voice was quite hoarse, & he struggled to reach many of the higher notes,  but I tolerated it because John Denver's songs were so entwined in my life, it was wonderful to hear them again after all these years. 

Best of Times Travel - John Denver Tribute - Tuesday 09/16/2025

The coordination for the trip was very good.  The bus was comfortable for transportation and the driver was very competent.  Although the John Denver tribute performer had a bad throat (from the wildfires on the West Coast), he did a great job overall.  The meal was tasty and the dessert was excellent!

Dear Charles - Thank you for your feedback.  Please note seating at tables is the responsibility of the group leader when distributing their tickets.  We at Best of Times Travel pass along the block of tickets to the group leader and it is their responsibility to seats guests together that wish to be together.

The food was good and the entertainer didn't do much for us. I have one complaint thou, we ordered 4 tickets under Charles Mc Isaac and you sit us a 2 different tables. How come?  

   I had a great time.  The accommodations were very nice. In Memphis we stayed at the Hampton Inn. I  had a comfortable bed and the best pillow ever.  They also provided an array of breakfast foods.  They also had a bagged breakfast for on the go.                  I have to say the morning staff very nice as well.
  I really enjoyed staying at the Gaylord Hotel in Nashville. The gardens, waterfalls , excellent food were terrific.
I enjoyed all the tours we did. My favorite was The Grand Ole Opry. We had terrific seats.  
  I gave a 4 star only because of the person at the Manchester NH office  who was suppose to know everything about the trip, didn't. I was a bit worried at first. Thankfully Keven our tour Guide was terrific. Everything went beautifully.
