My trip to France for the Christmas markets with Melissa of A Solo Woman Traveling, was truly amazing! From start to finish, everything was planned, organized, and curated with such care and intention that I’m already dreaming about joining another small-group trip with her! She genuinely knows what she’s doing!! As a seasoned solo traveler in my mid‑forties, this style of travel felt like a welcomed respite from all of the logistical planning I usually handle on my own. Melissa’s choices in hotels, restaurants, and activities were spot-on, and once I met her and the group... I was more than happy to simply show up and follow along! Paris, Strasbourg, and Colmar during the holidays are nothing short of magical-a dream, really! and experiencing them with such a thoughtful guide made it even more special. The Alsace region is the real deal fairytale! The Christmas market experience has been on my bucket list for many years. Very grateful for this experience, and the chance to see Paris 20 years after my first and only visit. A full circle moment, in many ways :) Once again, THANK YOU Melissa!!

Melissa created a wonderful trip! The hotels were well thought out, with a special mention to Hotel L’Eldorado; it was an exceptional hotel to start out the tour. While there were optional meals every day, there was no pressure to join the group for every one if you would rather try a different place on your own, or wanted to see some more sights. The activities chosen were also in line to make it feel like everything was curated to perfectly fit the theme of a French Christmas. The car tour in Paris to view the decorations and lights was a particularly lovely choice. If you are looking for small group tour that ends up feeling like you are traveling with a group of friends, do not hesitate to book a tour with Melissa. I am used to planning my own trips with family or friends and love doing the research that goes into all of it, but I would absolutely travel with Melissa again in the future!

I chose this trip and this tour company because I like to travel solo, but I also like to socialize and share experiences and meals with fellow travelers. I also like that this tour group was small and that it wasn't over-scheduled. I appreciate that we had time to explore on our own. I am also not familiar with France, and I liked the convenience of having someone else plan the itinerary, book the hotels, tours and transportation for me. On this trip we explored Paris and the Christmas markets of Strasbourg and Colmar. In Paris, the highlights were the tour around the city in adorable classic Citroën, a high tea at Cafe Antonia, and an evening walk around Montmartre. In Strasbourg I really enjoyed our evening tour amongst the Christmas lights and markets and learning about the history of the region. The accommodations were quaint and well located. Transportation on the trains was a little difficult but with proper planning it was doable. I recommend this tour for women who don't want to travel in a large group but like some companionship and want the ease of having someone else do some of the planning for them.
