This was a most enjoyable experience that combined what I value most - a small group of like-minded women; activities that were well paced and afforded a good balance of movement and time to just relax and enjoy the beautiful country; a lovely introduction to the Greek cuisine through food tours and daily options to dine at local restaurants; and importantly, introduction to unique boutique hotels that have now been added to my list of places to re-visit. Melissa, the organizer, obviously did her research and planned activities that were enlightening, entertaining, relaxing and fun. I definitely plan to travel with Melissa again, and have recommended her to many others.

My trip to Crete was a dream and a bucket list wish. I would not have done this trip any other way than with Melissa and her business “A Solo Woman Travelling”. This is my second trip to Greece with her and was not disappointed. Everything you could imagine and more - the morning and evening food tours throughout Chania and Rethymno, the incredible choices of restaurants and taverna’s, staying in a boutique hotel in Rethymno originally a monastery, the incredible charter boat trip to Balos where we saw pink sand, and to end the trip, a private catamaran sail to Dia Island swimming in the Mediterranean Sea! This trip was well planned, organized and Melissa’s attention to detail was impeccable. The meeting of new friends is always a bonus and if you are searching for this type of trip and adventure it all starts right here. This trip exceeded every expectation I had. Melissa is a remarkable host, present, responsive, and genuinely invested in each traveler’s experience. She puts real time, care, and thoughtfulness into every activity and detail, and by the end of the tour she had cultivated something rare: a group of women who deeply respected each other, the cities we visited, and the people of Crete. What sets this tour apart is the pace. Nothing feels rushed, nothing overstays its welcome, and every activity is optional so you always feel free to participate fully or find your own comfortable path. I never once felt pressured. The catamaran cruise to Dia Island was the single most breathtaking experience of the trip, and that’s saying something on an itinerary full of extraordinary moments. Melissa added personal touches throughout that reminded you she was paying attention to you specifically, not just the group. That kind of hosting is rare and it made all the difference. I came home with new friends, a deeper love of Greece, and a profound sense that I had done something truly meaningful for myself. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough.

On a scale of 1 to 10; I'd give it an 11. This Portugal trip thoroughly exceeded my expectations. Melissa did a fabulous job planning every detail. The places we visited, the amount of free time we had, the pace, the flexibility, the hotels and restaurants, all perfect. Changing hotels only once; much appreciated. I don't know if I'll be able to do a larger group tour ever again. Melissa spoiled it for me with the small group. And what a wonderful group of women to make great travel memories with.... truly fantastic!! I highly recommend A Solo Woman Traveling and hope to do more trips with Melissa in the future. 

I recently traveled to Portugal with A Solo Woman Traveling, and it was truly a 5-star experience from start to finish. This was my first time solo traveling, and I honestly could not have asked for a better introduction to it. Melissa did a fantastic job planning every detail of the trip. The hotels were beautiful, the food was excellent, and the itinerary struck the perfect balance between activities and downtime. What I loved most was the small group experience. It felt personal, welcoming, and easy to connect with everyone. As a first time solo traveler, I appreciated how thoughtfully everything was organized, which made the entire experience feel comfortable, stress free, and fun. I came home with amazing memories, new friendships, and a new confidence in traveling solo.
