The Amalfi coast is one of Italy’s most special places to visit. Alma  Italia will make sure your trip to the Amalfi coast is even more special  by taking care of all the little details so you can relax and enjoy  your time with family and friends. 

At your arrival at Naples airport a private driver will be waiting for you and take you straight at your accommodation located in the heart of Sorrento.

With this being your first day we won't plan any activity but give you the time for settling in and recharge after your long flight.

At night we will take care of dinner for you and book a table at one of our favorite restaurants of Sorrento. 

Set invitingly atop dramatic cliffs over sparkling, blue waters, it’s  easy to see why Sorrento is at the heart of most Amalfi coast trips. 

This classical seaside town with its fine piazzas, maze of old streets,  sidewalk cafes and glamorous shops has attracted wealthy travellers from  all over the world for centuries. The area is also famous for its lemon  groves, producing the famous limoncello liqueur.

After the  morning exploring the streets and sights of Sorrento, your driver will take you just outside of town at Villa Barone, beautiful propoerty located on the hills and overlooking the Mediterranean sea where a private chef who will teach you the proper way to make traditional  Neapolitan pizza. The delicious treat associated with Italy was invented  in Naples in the nineteenth century, using buffalo mozzarella, tomato  sauce, and basil to represent the colors of the new Italian flag. Your  chef will teach you how to make the dough properly, craft a delicious  customary pasta sauce, and melt the creamy buffalo mozzarella over the  dough as it cooks in a wood-fire brick oven. The scent of wood will fade  beneath the mouthwatering aroma of crisping dough. You will then top  the pizza with fresh basil, allowing the herbal taste to cut through the  acidic sauce and rich, creamy cheese. Lunch will be the fruit of your  labour…you’ll deserve it!

After breakfast your driver will pick you up at your accommodation and drive yo to Pompeii where you will meet a qualified local guide who will lead you for a walking tour of the archaeological site.

Until 26 August, 79 AD, Pompeii was a thriving Roman trading centre,  where ordinary people went about their everyday business, but it was  frozen in time when Mount Vesuvius erupted, killing 2,000 people and  their homes under a layer of ash. The city was never rebuilt and largely  disappeared from people’s minds until the 18th century, when the ruins  were re-discovered. Now you can take an unparalleled look back into the  lives of ancient Romans and discover how they lived, worked and  interacted 2,000 years ago. The finely preserved ruins include villas,  temples, theatres and bustling markets. Walk along the chariot-marked  streets, visit the magnificent amphitheatre and the ‘Villa of  Mysteries’.

After the tour you will be driven back to Sorrento and the rest of the day will be free of activitites. 

This morning your guide and private driver will take you up the mighty  Mt Vesuvius, where you’ll meet a local volcanology expert guide. Ascend  to the summit of Mt Vesuvius for staggering 360 degree views over the  Bay of Naples and into the steaming crater. Although Mt Vesuvius is  still considered to be an active volcano, the last eruption was in 1944  so you’ll feel quite safe! See first-hand the awesome power of the  volcano that engulfed the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum in 79AD.

After the tour we will take you for a wine tasting accompinied by a gourmet lunch at a local winery located at the bottom of the Volcano.

Enjoy a few hours here by drinking some good wine and tasting amazing food at one of the best wineries of the area...what else!?!

After lunch you will then go back at your accommodation in Sorrento   

Surely the pinnacle of any Amalfi coast tours has to be island hopping  around the movie star islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida that lie just  off the coast. For three dreamy days you will live like a celebrity  cruising around the most beautiful and elegant islands in all of Italy.  Nothing we can write here can do justice to quite how perfect an  experience exploring these islands and their coastlines is. Each island  has its own particular charm, from the cinematic cliffs of Capri, the  idyllic beaches and fortress of Ischia and the authentic charm of  Procida. These days will be reminisced over by your group for years to  come! 

After breakfast, your private driver will pick you up at your accommodation to guide  you along the 25 miles of renowned Amalfi Coast highway that leads from  Positano in the West to Vietri sul Mare in the East. This stunning  stretch of coastal road is renowned as one of the most spectacular road  trips in the world and is a ‘must do’ on ‘Amalfi coast tours’  You will  stop off the various villages dotted along the coast exploring their  unique charms before ending up in Ravello, a crowning glory of the  Amalfi coast sitting high in the hills over the Mediterranean.

It is time to leave the Amalfi coast and move to Naples for your last full day in the South of Italy before boarding on a high speed train to Florence the next day.

After breakfast your driver will pick you up in Amalfi and take you to your new accommodation in Naples.

Take your time for your check in and lunch before a local guide will meet you and take you for a private walking tour of the historical center. 

Sadly it is time to say goodbye.
