A safari is the feeling you get when hearing your first lion roar echoing across the plains, 0r feel the breeze of an elephant’s ginormous ears flapping as they pass by our open-air vehicle. It’s coming across animals you’ve never set eyes on before, and wildlife you’ve always wanted to see. Lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and Cape buffalo — the Big Five are among the most sought-after animals to encounter on an African safari. While some are widespread, others, such as rhino, are dwindling in number and often require local know-how to find (along with a pinch of good luck) – and we have that covered!
Explore cosmopolitan Cape Town, thrilling safari in the Chobe National Park and mighty Victoria Falls on this all-encompassing African experience. Wander the vibrant cobblestone streets of Cape Town’s traditional Bo Kaap neighborhood, stand in awe of Table Mountain, opt to explore the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, waddle with penguins at Cape Point Peninsula and relax on a breathtaking coastal drive to the Cape of Good Hope. Take game drives where lions, leopards, zebras, and cheetahs prowl in the golden afternoon light. Victoria Falls, one of the world's largest waterfalls, is set along the Zambezi River between Zambia and Zimbabwe, enticing nature-lovers, photographers and adventure travelers with its stupendous sights. A guided on-foot tour of the falls reveals all the best vantage points to witness this remarkable natural site. Cruise the Zambezi at sunset and experience a more tranquil side of life along the river as hippos, crocodiles, elephants and rare birdlife patrol its banks.
Our African experience begins in the ‘Mother City’ of Cape Town for exhilarating activities, rich culture and history. Then we fly to Kasane, Botswana to begin our safaris (in open air 4x4s and boat). We will see how locals live, how the animals live in harmony and survival – allowing us to experience the whole ‘circle of life’. After Chobe, we move across the land to Livingstone, Zambia - where getting there can be half the fun – and nature takes the starring role – Victoria Falls. This region is teeming with things to do, like lunch with the elephants or a sunset cruise above the Falls. Your leisure time could be filled with ‘X’ games like bungee jumping, white water rafting, ultra-light flight or helicopter ride over the Falls. Or you could take a leisurely approach by hiking, horseback riding, bird watching or a swim – at the resort or in the ‘Devil’s Pool’ at the top of the Falls! We round out our fabulous adventure with a BOMA dinner and evening to remember for a long, long time to come…
