These days are dedicated to exploring Antarctica!!!
This is a typical expedition outline. All activities and landings are weather, ice, and wildlife dependent. Flexibility is essential and part of the true Antarctic experience.
Each day typically includes:
Zodiac landings on the Antarctic continent or nearby islands
Walks among penguin colonies
Visits to research stations or historic sites
Wildlife spotting (penguins, seals, whales)
Optional activities such as kayaking or snowshoeing
The exact landing sites vary but may include areas such as:
Neko Harbour
Paradise Bay
Cuverville Island
Deception Island
No two days are the same, plans are adjusted daily to take advantage of the best conditions!
Enjoy a final Zodiac landing before beginning the journey North. A farewell to Antarctica as the ship sets course back across the Drake Passage. We will return crossing of the Drake Passage. Time to reflect on the expedition, attend final lectures, and celebrate the journey with fellow travelers.
Arrive back in Ushuaia in the morning. Disembark after breakfast and continue onward travel or adventures in Patagonia.
