Accommodations
Accommodations for 9 nights for one person in a double occupancy room (unless single occupancy upgrade is chosen).
Airport Transport
Ground transportation between the designated airport Guatemala (GUA) and hotel on scheduled arrival day and departure day.
Activity Transport
Transportation to and from all scheduled daily activities.
Scheduled Activities
Entrance fees for all scheduled cultural sites, museums and special studio visits.
Two Meals
Two meals including a Welcome Dinner and Celebration Dinner (guests are responsible for all other meals)

Arrival/Depart Transport
Guests are responsible for arranging and purchasing their own travel to ensure arrival at, and departure from, the Guatemala airport (GUA) on designated arrival/departure days.

These are full days in Antigua visiting artists' studios, crafts workshops, museums, markets, and colonial ruins. There is an add-on option for a cooking class.

Chichicastenango & Lake Atitlán Tour Days
Sunday – travel day from Antigua to Panajachel on Lake Atitlán. On the way we will stop in Chichicastenango for their famous Sunday market.
Monday – Wednesday are full days on Lake Atitlán where we will travel by boat around the lake visiting the many towns including San Juan La Laguna, Santiago Atitlán, and San Pedro la Laguna
Thursday – we'll explore Panajachel this morning before taking our van back to Guatemala City and our celebration dinner

Optional Extension: Tikal & Lake Petén
Friday – We fly from Guatemala City to Flores and drive to the Tikal National Park where we will have access to the park for the afternoon and be able to watch the sunset from one of the pyramids before settling in to spend the night in cabins at the Jungle Lodge.
Saturday – Those interested in rising early can do a hike in the dark to another pyramid and observe the jungle as it comes to life while the sun rises (if it's not too foggy you'll be able to see the sunrise, too). We'll spend the morning in Tikal before leaving to Lake Petén and Flores where we'll explore this charming town.
Sunday – we'll have a leisure morning explore Flores before taking our flight back to Guatemala City and our celebration dinner.
Monday – is your departure day from Guatemala City. There are no official plans this day.

Included in the cost for the Optional Extension are: entrance and guide fees for Tikal, round trip flight from Guatemala City to Flores, ground transport to all scheduled activities, 3 nights of accommodations (1 in Tikal Jungle Lodge, 1 in Flores, 1 in Guatemala City).
All other expenses are the tourists' responsibility.

Please note this extension is slightly more physically demanding than the main tour, including lots of climbing without rails and walking on dirt paths. Also note that while in Tikal, emergency services are nonexistent and basic services are rudimentary.

Rene lbarra and Troy Campa both have a passion for art, culture, & travel and exploring the world of art, especially in Latin America, has always been an obsession. In 2016, after many friends repeatedly asked to join the adventures, Troy & Rene took a group of friends to Mexico City to explore the art scene; this was the beginning of their accidental tour company CAMIBAart Tours, In 2020 we re-branded the company Camiba Cultural Tours.

Wonderful trip and the guides and very interesting itinerary! The restaurants chosen were authentic and well thought out! Couldn’t have had better guides!

Our small (6) group quickly became friends and Rene and Troy were wonderful hosts as always. I especially liked the visit to Xilitla and las Pozas -unique places I would never be able to experience on my own or or even with a regular tour company.
