About this trip

Going on retreat offers an opportunity to let down the stresses of life, to be nourished by the north woods, and deepen your yoga, meditation, and pranayama practices.  You will learn Ayurvedic self-care rituals as well as lifestyle and practice recommendations to align harmoniously with the season, so your health and well-being may flourish.

The Christine Center, 3 hours northwest from Madison, is nestled in the tranquil woods of northern Wisconsin on 125 acres, offering a nurturing and supportive environment for deepening practice and connection. The retreat center is run by a group of Franciscan nuns and for 30 years has been a center open to all paths of faith and spirituality.

(10-hours of continuing education are available for Yoga Alliance registered teachers)

This retreat was what I truly needed. A break from the everyday hustle and bustle. Many words of wisdom. I enjoyed learning more about Ayurveda. The yoga and meditation sessions were rejuvenating and the food that the Christine Center prepared was nourishing. I’d definitely attend another one of Andrea’s retreats and am grateful I was able to attend this one. -Carrie

This was my maiden voyage to The Christine Center, and the setting was so perfect for my dear teacher, Andrea, to share her skill and knowledge. I left feeling seen and heard, and most importantly, loved for being myself.

I had a most wonderful time. The staff at Imiloa Institute were there and ready to take care of us. It was most memorable; as the flora and fauna and the accommodations made one feel like you were totally immersed in the jungles of Costa Rica.

My time at the Christine Center for Andrea's retreat was just wonderful. I came away not just feeling refreshed and centered, but with actual tools to move forward with...and so much to think about! Andrea embodies all of the things she talks about, you can see it...feel it. Her knowledge of Ayurveda, the body, nature, and how it all ties into each other, is incredible. Anyone who has the opportunity to experience learning from Andrea should make it a priority to do so!
