Thank you for your interest in protecting the Avellanas Mangrove! 🌿✨

At Oropopo Experience, we believe in giving back to nature. That’s why we allocate $2 per participant from every tour in Guanacaste to support mangrove conservation. Some guests have asked how to contribute even more, so we created this space for additional donations.

Since GoFundMe is not available in Costa Rica, we are temporarily using WeTravel while we explore long-term donation options.

What Your Donation Supports

Your contribution helps sustain on-the-ground conservation actions in the Avellanas mangrove, focusing on:

🟢 Education & Awareness – Educational signs and community workshops.
🟢 Cleanup & Waste Management – Mangrove and neighborhood cleanups.
🟢 Informal Monitoring – Regular visits to observe the mangrove and identify potential threats when they arise.
🟢 Restoration Planning – Planning and preparation of a future mangrove restoration project.

What We’ve Achieved So Far

✔️ A free environmental tour for 20 children from Sol Academy.
✔️ 6 cleanup campaigns between 2024–2025, with 85 volunteers.
✔️ Signage campaigns with environmental messages around the mangrove.
✔️ Ongoing informal monitoring of the mangrove area.
✔️ Quick cleanups during every Avellanas Wildlife Walk.


Every dollar makes a difference. Your support helps strengthen local conservation efforts and move us step by step toward long-term protection of the mangrove.
