About this trip

Join Andrea Russell and Sheryl Lilke on a meditation retreat close to home in the tranquil woods of northern Wisconsin. The retreat will be held at The Christine Center in Willard, Wisconsin (three hours northwest from Madison) on 125 acres of land, offering a nurturing and supportive environment for deepening practice and connection.

During the retreat, we’ll focus on slowing down and deepening your meditation practice. Days will include gentle yoga to prepare your body for sitting, several periods of seated and walking meditation, dharma talks, and opportunities to ask questions and receive support. Much of our time together will be spent observing noble silence, enabling us to turn our attention inward and create community based on shared devotion to practice.

Each afternoon there will be free time to walk in the woods, sit on benches overlooking the pond, drink tea, read, knit, or whatever else feels relaxing and restorative.

It’s a wonderful and welcoming environment for those who are new to retreats and/or yoga and meditation.

This retreat will allow you to unplug from stresses and responsibilities, from electronics and newsfeeds, and remember what is really important to you. You will get the time you need for introspection so that you can reset and come home to yourself. You’ll go deeper into your meditation practice and develop insights into how you can find ease in your mind, in your body, and in your daily life. You’ll also be part of a supportive and inclusive community of fellow spiritual seekers.

Andrea is an Ayurvedic health counselor, yoga & meditation teacher, and neurovascular therapist dedicated to helping individuals reclaim their health and vitality. She leads retreats locally and abroad.

Sheryl is a psychotherapist and yoga teacher who has received lay ordination in the Soto Zen Buddhist tradition. In her work she weaves Western psychology, Buddhist philosophy, and holistic mindfulness and movement practices together to help individuals access their own inner wisdom and innate healing potential.

I’m an Ayurvedic health counselor, yoga and meditation teacher, and neurovascular therapist living in Madison, Wisconsin. I have been in private practice and teaching since 2000. My classes and retreats integrate Ayurvedic wisdom, meditation and a mindful approach to asana that brings attention to anatomy, optimal alignment, strength, breath, and inner awareness. This practice cultivates abounding health in body and mind while inspiring you to live a more grounded and compassionate life. I offer a variety of trainings, workshops, and retreats, both locally and abroad. I have a deep love for travel, local food, and spending time with my pitbull Lucy. I look forward to working together. Gratefully, Andrea P.S. Head over to to get my full story!

Wonderful retreat space, teacher and learning!
Thank you so much, Andrea. As always it was a wonderful weekend of rest and revitalization. I always learn so many useful self-care techniques on your retreats.
This was my first yoga retreat experience, and it was just what I was looking for. Comfortable (albeit sparse) accomdations, wonderful food, a beautiful setting and great program & agenda.
This was an amazing getaway. The location of the Christine Center is such a lovely space and you feel instantly calm and relaxed as you approach the facility. The weekend increases in serenity as Andrea begins her time with you. You can feel your body and mind connecting with nature and the calmness of Andrea's voice places you in such a special place of relaxation. I would highly recommend this adventure for every aspect of the retreat from what we practiced, to the facility and staff, the accommodations and the food that had me going for seconds almost every meal Wonderful memory!
Andrea is an inspirational retreat leader! I left feeling refreshed and eager to dive further into all that I had learned about Ayurveda during the retreat. The Christine Center is beautiful in its simplicity, and the shared 2 person cabin with kitchenette and bathroom/shower was quaint and comfortable. I would go back again.

My time at the Christine Center for Andrea's retreat was just wonderful. I came away not just feeling refreshed and centered, but with actual tools to move forward with...and so much to think about! Andrea embodies all of the things she talks about, you can see it...feel it. Her knowledge of Ayurveda, the body, nature, and how it all ties into each other, is incredible. Anyone who has the opportunity to experience learning from Andrea should make it a priority to do so!
