Arrival and Dublin Exploration

Arrive in Dublin Airport this morning and meet your tour director before transferring into the city.

Your first stop is the award-winning EPIC Museum, where interactive galleries tell the powerful story of Irish emigration and the global Irish influence. Enjoy free time for lunch with many excellent dining options close by.

Afterwards, transfer to the Davenport Hotel for check-in and time to settle in.

Evening Experience

Enjoy a special cultural welcome: a private harp recital (1 hour) at the historic United Arts Club, complete with a Q&A with the musician, followed by dinner.

Dublin's Musical & Historic Heart

This morning, join an archivist from Christ Church Cathedral for a fascinating Handel-themed walking tour of Dublin. Over 2–3 hours, explore the streets and stories connected to Handel’s legacy, including the sites that inspired Messiah.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided visit to Dublin Castle, rich in political, architectural, and cultural history.

Dinner this evening is at leisure, with recommendations provided for every taste.

Evening Performance

Attend the Opening Night of Handelfest at Dublin Castle (7:30pm) — the perfect introduction to this celebrated musical weekend.

Henrietta Street & Handelfest Continues

Begin the day on historic Henrietta Street, one of Dublin’s finest Georgian terraces. At No. 12, enjoy a beautifully intimate string quartet performance by young apprentices of the Irish Baroque Orchestra.
Following the recital, visit 14 Henrietta Street, a deeply moving museum that traces the building’s transformation from grand townhouse to tenement dwelling.

The afternoon is free for you to explore Dublin at your own pace — perhaps visit a gallery, enjoy traditional music in a pub, or wander Grafton Street.

Evening Performance
Return to Dublin Castle for Night Two of Handelfest, beginning at 7:00pm.

Day 4

Country Estate Visit & Farewell Evening

This morning, visit Powerscourt Estate, where a guided tour will offer a glimpse into stately Irish life and beautifully preserved period interiors.

Late Afternoon Concert
Attend an early-evening performance at the atmospheric Chapel Royal, known for its ornate papier-mâché ceiling and serene riverside setting. Concert expected at 5:00 or 6:00pm.

Farewell Dinner
Gather together for a warm and celebratory farewell dinner at the Davenport.

Departure

After breakfast — or breakfast bags for early flights — transfer to Dublin Airport for your journey home, bringing with you the music, stories, and spirit of Handelfest Dublin.
