Emmet Cahill, Star of PBS Phenomenon Celtic Thunder, has been widely hailed as Ireland’s Most Exciting Young Tenor. Had a good time. Kevin gave clear explanations and repeated several times so everyone understood. Hotel accommodation was very good and the Rockettes fantastic! 

Best of Times - Christmas NY Style w/Radio City Rockettes 12/7-12/8/25

Excellent !   I purchased 7 tickets and requested that all 7 of us be seated at the same table and that worked out perfect.  The Best of Times accomodated us and did a very efficient job.  Everything went smoothly from the moment we got to the Danversport.  The show was great and we had a great table.  The meal was excellent.  It was a very nice day.  I will book other trips with the Best of Times, they were GREAT !

I and my friends had a wonderful time.  We so enjoyed the music.  The dinner was very nice, but the service was VERY slow which delayed the musical presentation.  jack the bus driver, as always was very courteous and very conscientious driver. I am planning on joining Best of Times on other day trips.

Trip was great enjoyed the show.  Lot of friendly people both on the bus and those rest of those attending.  
The wait staff could have been better.  Maybe more servers.  Otherwise it was,a great day.

I had a wonderful time, the entertainment was great, and the food was delicious.  Plan to come back.  Great service

We had a great time.  The hotel was very nice and we met some lovely people.  We only wish we could have stayed one more day to really get to see all the sights.  It was a little difficult for some folks  who had never been to NYC to navigate the area on their own.  It would have been nice to have a tour guide lead the way.  Just a suggestion for the next time.

We had a wonderful time!  The people were lovely and everything was well planned.  The Rockettes show was spectacular and the hotel was first rate.  I enjoyed the tour of Lyndhurst Castle and Union Church.  This trip was most definitely worth it!

We enjoyed the delicious food at Lake Pearl as well as the show with the very talented and professional Tony Bennett, Barbara Streisand & Lady GaGa!!  However, the ride on a small van to fit 13 people back and forth was tight and very uncomfortable and we all felt like crammed sardines!

We had a great time, no doubt,the best show I’ve seen .

It was a good trip, loved the hotel and its location. Liked the two day duration. Loved the rockettes and the seating provided. Feel the stop in Terry town was unnecessary, and wasted time. would have preferred an earlier arrival in nyc.  Bus was good, excellent driver. 

Judith - Thank you very much for your constructive criticism.  We are looking into how the bus company could have possibly gotten directions and information wrong regarding departure times and locations.  We pride ourselves in being extremely detail oriented and expect the bus companies we hire to do the same.  Regarding information on the area, we will be sure to address this with our Tour Manager who was responsible for the program this day.  It appears additional training is involved and that is something we can easily rectify moving forward.  We appreciate the feedback, otherwise we would not be able to properly ascertain the capabilities of our lesser experienced Tour Managers and what additional training may be needed to elevate them to the extremely high standards we hold.

We had a late start because the best driver wasn’t informed of a pick up scheduled in Topsfield MA. So she had to leave Salem to pick up in Topsfield then return for us. The person from the travel agency that traveled with us tried her best to accommodate us, she had to reach out to someone to get restaurant recommendations. She didn’t seem to know the area. Did not explain where the stores were from where she dropped us off for a shopping and lunch time. We were not provided with any contact information in case of an emergency. The bus had to move from the spot it dropped us off and was late coming back to pick us up. Everyone was confused. The tour of the mansions were very nice and interesting. I will think twice before signing up for a tour with your company in the future.

Salem, MA Sr. Ctr- Newport Christmas Mansions - Monday 12/8/25

This trip is a great way to celebrate the holidays in only two days. Seeing Union Church with its famous stained glass windows and Lyndhurst Mansion decorated for the holidays was a treat. The Radio City Music Hall Spectacular is always great, both for the setting and the show. Free time the evening of the first day and the morning of the second day gives you a chance to see New York City both at night and during the day. This is great for viewing Rockefeller Center or 5th Avenue at your own pace.

I had a wonderful time in New York. I did a lot of sightseeing and the Rockettes show was fantastic. Kevin and Jack make a great team.

We pride ourselves in being extremely detail oriented and expect the bus companies we hire to do the same. 

We realize that many guests do not understand the complexities in trying to properly match groups together and ensuring the matching logistically works to not have anyone travel an improper distance to be matched.  We worked extremely hard to accommodate the groups that were promoting this program and asking us to allow more guests to attend the program.  This program from your area was originally scheduled to be  just 1 bus which would have meant you and about another 24 guests would not have been able to attend the program as it would have been sold out before you registered for the trip.  We made the decision in consulting with your group leader to expand the trip into a second bus attempting to not disappoint people, and allowing them to enjoy a wonderful trip.  We will be sure to take your comments into consideration the next time we look to allow more guests to experience a trip.  We have started to realize that despite our great intentions of trying to accommodate people, and make them happy, in the end we may be better shutting a trip off and disappointing those that register too late to attend a trip.  Sometimes doing the right thing by people ultimately ends up being the wrong thing.

We had a good time despite the bus leaving 45 mins late. then having to stop again to pick up more people.
The tour guide was very nice and the driver Amazing .  A printed list of open restaurants a #   to reach either the bus driver or tour guide would have been nice alerting us to the fact that the pickup place had changed.  Keeping pickups to fill the bus nearer to each other would be a better solution than driving miles out of the way to fill a bus.  
Ex. the Marblehead bus was at the mansions and Newport at the same time as we were.

A WONDERFUL trip!!!show was beautiful!!  Bus driver Jack was fabulous!  Kevin was very informative and lots of fun!   Can’t wait for another trip with Kevin at Best of Times.  

The mansions were beautiful.  However, there was too much confusion for bus pickup which delayed pickups. It was not the drivers fault, she was great. The travel rep was personable but didn't seem to have the location knowledge.

Laura - Thank you for your comments.  We are sorry for any confusion you experienced on the program.  All tickets for the show were mailed priority mail via the US Postal Service (2-3 Day Service) more than 2 1/2 weeks prior to the trip departure date.  Unfortunately, a couple of groups never got their tickets from the Post Office until a few days after the program operation.  The US Postal Service is truly hurting our customer experience and we are looking into alternative solutions while trying not to increase the cost of the trip due to extremely high shipping fees.  

We are sorry that your local group leader at Merrimack did not provide more detailed information to you if you had questions.  All issues you experienced could have easily been resolved with just a little more guidance and Merrimack is usually very good at answering questions for their customers.  Our staff was out operating the program, as it was operating 3 days consecutively, and were returning phone calls within 24 hours to guests.  We ensure that all groups/group leaders that purchase our programs know how to reach us in the event of an emergency. 

Again, we are sorry that your group was unable to answer your questions in a timely manner.  We hope despite the complexity of your arrival you folks enjoyed the day and your mother enjoyed her Christmas present.

Overall, we enjoyed the show but I must say it was very disappointing at the beginning. I was told in an email that tickets would be available at the venue rather than mailed to me. But I could not find a time for the show to begin anywhere, so I called Best of Times the day before to tell me the time for arrival AND to clarify that my tickets would be available at the event. Nobody answered the phone, so I left a voicemail explaining the situation and nobody ever returned my call. Very disappointing!!!  Finally, I called Castleton and they told me the doors would open at 11:00. Upon arrival to the show, I noticed that almost everyone already HAD their tickets, and I could not find anybody associated with the Merrimack Senior Center (the organization listed on my booking receipt) to get my tickets from. The lobby was a very chaotic scene and nobody seemed to be in charge of tickets. So my 90-year-old mom (whose Christmas present this was!) and I wait and wait and wait, and wait while everyone else files into the room to sit down and start eating lunch. Finally, when almost everyone had already been seated, I approached the lady at the door with my printed receipt in hand and she said, "Oh I think my husband has your tickets" and off she goes to find him. Then she comes back and tells me the table number we are sitting at and escorts us to the table. We finally sat down around 12:15 after arriving shortly after 11:00. All of this could have been avoided if somebody had just given us the tickets! I never received or saw our tickets and I STILL can't understand why no attempt was made to dispense them to us earlier and save us all of the aggravation of waiting around and wondering where our tickets can be found? Best of Tines -or whoever was responsible - can do better than this!!!

Merrimack Senior Citizens - Bennett & Streisand - Thur 12/4/25

Dear Ronda - Thank you for your comments.  Your group leader at Goodlife  Programs is the one responsible for handing out tickets for the group and assigning passengers to be seated at tables together.  We did reach out to Goodlife and it was acknowledged that they did make some errors when they were distributing the tickets.  We are confident that moving forward Goodlife will be more conscious of ensuring that guests who register together are seated together and distributed tickets properly.

It was a very good program.   There were several people without actual tickets.  This resulted in confusion and waiting.  No one could tell us what was wrong.  Apparently, they setup another table way in the back outside of the group.  I didnt like this situation and will need actual ticket confirmation if there is a next time.
The bus driver was great.

The food was great, Tony Bennett was wonderful but did not care for Lady Gaga. I thought she was a bit sickening. I’ve been to other shows that you had and were wonderful.

We all enjoyed the show. Food was very good also. If we had a complaint it would have been the comfort of the chairs. Looking forward to booking another show.

Paul - Thank you for your feedback.  You are correct that we could not provide a 56 passenger motorcoach to transport 8 passengers to the program despite the amount we charge our guests for transportation services.  You are also correct that we returned the full $42 per person cost back to Newburyport COA as we were no longer capable of providing transportation services as originally scheduled.  We 100% applaud the efforts that your director, Sarah, made at the center to provide all of you a wonderful day out to enjoy the program instead of simply cancelling you from the trip and issuing you a full refund.  She, in our opinion, put your desire for fun, excitement, and enjoyment above all else as cancelling would have been the easy thing to do.  We are sorry that you did not feel her efforts were done out of compassion and caring for others.  You are more than welcome to discuss some sort of refund for transportation services from Sarah, but we believe that due to her herculean efforts you did not overpay for this experience.

While the meal and show tribute were grand, I and seven others are bewildered regarding transportation.
We eight had signed up for the show and expected motor coach transportation and an escort.
Our cost was 42 dollars more than those who chose to drive themselves.
Apparently due to lack of riders, the travel company issued money back to Sarah at the Newburyport Council on Aging.
She did her best to provide alternate transportation by securing the Council's van and a driver who had not been scheduled for that time plus provide a meal, rather than have to cancel.
My sense is that we eight overpaid for what we received and a partial refund would be appropriate as well as a nice gesture.

Excellent trip.  It was our first experience on a bus trip.  It was great, we met a lot of nice people and enjoyed all the places we visited. 

Dear Greg - Thank you for your comments.  We completely agree with you regarding the table assignment issues.  It is unfortunate that a person from the other group on the bus claimed to be in charge of your group, taking the tickets that belonged to your group, and haphazardly distributing tickets.    The group leader from Albert Harris was informed pre-trip they would need to have a representative on the bus to take the tickets and distribute them to the group as the US postal system was unable to deliver a paid for 2- 3 Day priority mail package for more than 2 weeks.  We did follow up with your group leader to determine how such a mess up could happen, especially when we found out the Director of the Albert Harris Senior Center was on the bus attending the trip and did not step up to introduce herself to us, or to say anything regarding the person that claimed be to in charge of Albert Harris group and was not.  We pride ourselves in being extremely thorough when it comes to seating at the venues as 1 wrong seat can create a snowball effect.  This is why all guests are to arrive at our shows with their show ticket, and are kindly asked to sit at the table their ticket shows, which is ultimately assigned by your group leader.  We are thrilled you had a great time at the show.  We hope that our post-trip conversation with Albert Harris Senior Center will help to eliminate these issues moving forward.

Disorganization and messed up table assignments marred an otherwise excellent time.  Venue and the band were excellent.  Bus service smooth.  However, it is inexcusable to not pay attention to more detail with respect to assigned seating.  Two tables worth of people were seated at one table and none at another, and it took a considerable amount of effort to sort it out.

Great luncheon and show!  The band and singers were much too loud!  Turn down the volume!

The trip was great. The food was delicious, the entertainment was very good. My only complaint was the bus driver. He totally talked down people on the bus like he thought we were stupid.  I also overheard him telling someone to stay out of his "3 foot area, that he only gets a small amount of space and doesn't want anyone in it. He said that to me also while I was assisting a disabled person with her crutches. I apparently stepped into his 3 foot space, when he wasn't even in the driver's seat yet.  Disappointing. I have had other driver that were great. I believe his name was Bob. 

Excellent show and venue.  Meal was hot and served promptly.

The show was excellent.  Food and accommodations good

It was the long ride from Concord NH

We had two stops one right in Boston.  It took over 3 hours to get there and at least that to return.   A direct bus trip would only take 2 hours.   I will no longer sigh up with Good Life for these trips.  This is the second time this happens.  Last trip had 4 stops. 



Danversport food & service was Great as Usual. The food was delicious. The performer as Olivia Newton John was terrific.

Best of Times Travel- Olivia Newton-John Tribute - Thur 10/23/2025

This was my first trip with Best of Times and it was very different from another bus company that I have travelled with frequently. First, we were not given a pickup time until 2 days before the show and we never did receive tickets. What should have been a trip of a little over two hours was 3 1/2 hours each way because the bus was scheduled to pick up other passengers in two Massachusetts locations. One location was in the middle of Boston some distance off the highway and during high volume traffic. So we spent a total of 7 hours on the bus for a meal and a show. The meal was good as was the show but I have to think that the show was a cut rate version because several times the singer said that she normally travelled with a band but in this show she only had a piano player. Everyone on the bus was questioning what was going on when the driver pulled into the breakdown lane on the interstate to run to the bathroom about 1 1/2 hours into the trip. It was not a smooth ride as he jabbed on his brakes at least a dozen times. The bus was comfortable for about 2 hours but 3 1/2 hours each way was just too much. It was all about filling the bus and not about the time and comfort of the attendees.  I would have to think long and hard about ever signing up for a trip again.

My group had a wonderful time. We really enjoyed the show. She is a fabulous entertainer.  The food was great as always. The bus ride & driver was a great experience. He got us there in a timely manner.

Waltham Friends- Olivia Newton-John Tribute - Thur 10/23/2025

We had a wonderful time!  The show was fantastic, as was the food.  

Our group had an enjoyable time on this trip. Food and service at  Danversport Yacht club never disappoints. Looking forward to the Talk Ships next year and the brunch at this same venue .

The concert itself was fantastic. Getting to and from the venue was miserable. 7.5 hours of travel both ways, way to much. we were 30 minutes late getting there.
