We begin our travel to PA aboard a fully equipped motorcoach and enjoy an afternoon arrival in the heart of Penn Dutch Country, Lancaster, PA. Settle into the Hampton Inn & Suites Hotel in Lancaster, PA our home for the next two nights. The perfect retreat to enjoy friends at the end of our days touring the Dutch countryside. Tonight enjoy the show ELVIS The Musical at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre. His singular name still evokes immediate recognition from people all over the world! This official Elvis Presley bio-musical takes a closer look at the rock star and cultural icon whose impact shaped the history of music and culture. ELVIS: THE MUSICAL spans from his childhood in Tupelo, Mississippi to his triumphant 1968 “Comeback Special” and his ascent to be “The King.” It features over 40 Elvis hits and iconic songs including, “All Shook Up,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Burning Love,” “Good Rockin’ Tonight,” “Hound Dog,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Are You Lonesome,” and “Blue Suede Shoes.” (D)

Enjoy a Deluxe Continental Breakfast before we begin our exploration of the Dutch Country. Enjoy a Full Commentary Back Country Tour of the Farmlands of Lancaster Country. See the life of the Amish from a whole different perspective as our tour director brings their traditions to life during this fabulous riding tour. We will make a number of stops throughout the Dutch Country such as an Amish Bakery, Farm Stand, Winery, the Kitchen Kettle Shops in Intercourse, and more as time permits. Lunch will be on our own at the Kitchen Kettle Shops. As an added Bonus enjoy a ride & tour on America’s Oldest Operating Railroad - The Strasburg Railroad. Travel directly through the heart of Pennsylvania Amish Country with a view of more than 2,500 acres of untouched farmland. Comfortably seated aboard an authentically restored passenger car, your group will embark on a 45-minute, fully narrated ride behind a real, operating steam locomotive. Later this afternoon we head to Millenium Sight and Sound Theatre for the outstanding, Biblically-based theatrical production of “MOSES” - truly a sight and experience to behold. This morning enjoy a Deluxe Continental Breakfast before we depart for Gettysburg. The Battle of Gettysburg - The crown jewel of our trip, is known as the turning point of the Civil War. A three day battle in July of 1863, Gettysburg is the most famous and tragic battle ever fought on American soil. A field that spans some forty two square miles, is where Robert E. Lee made his worst mistake of the war, giving the north a victory that would signal the eventual end of the conflict. We begin our journey here with a Narrated Battlefield Riding Tour. We will stop at Robert E. Lee Memorial - View Pickett’s Charge Battlefield - Drive through the Wheat Fields and along Devil’s Den - Ascend Little Round Top - Cross over Cemetery Ridge( Union Side) - and reach the High Water Mark of the Confederacy. You will also see the National Cemetery where President Lincoln gave his famous Gettysburg Address. After our riding tour we arrive at the visitors center to see the film “Fields of Freedom” depicting the sounds and fury of the battle at Gettysburg. Time is provided to enjoy the “Cyclorama” along with time to visit the Gettysburg Battle Museum. We then depart for home with great memories of our time visiting the Penn Dutch Country. (B)

Excellent ! I purchased 7 tickets and requested that all 7 of us be seated at the same table and that worked out perfect. The Best of Times accomodated us and did a very efficient job. Everything went smoothly from the moment we got to the Danversport. The show was great and we had a great table. The meal was excellent. It was a very nice day. I will book other trips with the Best of Times, they were GREAT !

I and my friends had a wonderful time. We so enjoyed the music. The dinner was very nice, but the service was VERY slow which delayed the musical presentation. jack the bus driver, as always was very courteous and very conscientious driver. I am planning on joining Best of Times on other day trips.

Trip was great enjoyed the show. Lot of friendly people both on the bus and those rest of those attending. The wait staff could have been better. Maybe more servers. Otherwise it was,a great day.
