Join Best of Times Travel on this unique and culturally rich day trip during the peak of the fall foliage season.  We head north to Vermont and enjoy the fabulous fall foliage unfold before us on the hills and mountain tops of NH as we drive.  Our first stop of the day will be the a venerable classic - The Vermont Country Store.  Now in 4th and 5th generation storkeepers, the Orton Family still adheres to the old-fashioned values set forth by their father and grandfather Vrest and take pride in being the Purveyors of the Practical and Hard-to-Find. They’re stocked to the rafters with quality merchandise from around the block and around the world, going to great lengths to find products that aren’t sold anywhere else.  We then venture to the banks of the Sugar River to discover the charm and uncommon hospitality of The Common Man Inn & Restaurant in Claremont, New Hampshire.  Drawing on its heritage as a textile mill, the Inn features unexpected design touches that pay homage to its adored past: salvaged front doors, rustic light fixtures, and inverted trusses engineered to accommodate the massive weaving machines that once filled the mill.  Frames along the wooden panels share secrets of the building’s golden years!  After our lunch we head to Simon Pearce and watch master glassblowers and potters at work before you shop for the finished product. An extensive assortment of second-quality glass and pottery is available alongside first-quality merchandise.  Following our stay at Simon Pearce we will travel to the King Arthur Factory.  While here see some tasty pastries being made or take some time to browse through the gift shop.  It’s a bakers delight!  Enjoy the ride home with great views.

New England Pot Roast (GF) and New England style Haddock with crumb topping and lemon butter sauce, Garden salad, House mashed potatoes, Fresh seasonal vegetable, Artisan rolls with whipped butter, Dessert is cheesecake trifle with berries and white chocolate shavings served with coffee, coke products and non-alcoholic beverages.

For guests that are not registering with a group, you will be notified of the closest departure point to where you live by 8/9/24 or earlier.  If you are not satisfied with, or capable of reaching, the closest departure point for this program we will understand.  You will be cancelled from the event and issued a refund of all charges paid for the trip.
