The year 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding in 1776—the United States of America’s Semiquincentennial. For this milestone occasion, a fleet of the world’s most magnificent international tall ships and military ships, in an epic peacetime gathering, will sail into the port of Boston as part of Sail250®.

GRACEFUL, dramatic, and powerful, the sailing ships of the 18th and 19th centuries, known as tall ships, have inspired writers and adventurers. Join Best of Times Travel in experiencing the wonder and excitement of it all as we sail through Boston’s historic harbor on the Provincetown II, capturing magnificent views of the fleet. We’ll be viewing it all from the best vantage point possible – the water! But not only do you get the magnificence of the Tall Ships armada in Boston Harbor, but your package includes a great buffet meal at Danversport, and we even bring in some light entertainment fitting for the event!

*** Special Note: The Provincetown II has 3 spacious decks. We board via the middle deck. All restrooms are located on the lower deck accessible via a stairway (fully equipped with handrails). There are no elevators onboard. ****

It is important to understand the format of this program when booking your trip. The program will begin in Danversport, where you will board our motorcoach and be transported to the Seaport District of Boston for our sailing on the Provincetown II. We will then return back by motorcoach for your Brunch and Entertainment. Then ALL guests will depart from Danversport for home.

Guests are responsible for driving themselves to and from Danversport for this event. Parking at Danversport will be free for Best of Times Travel Guests Only!

There is no meal selection required as all guests will receive all of the above items.

No Refunds will be issued for cancellations, regardless of cancellation reason including but not limited to force majeure, health pandemics, or government restrictions after 6/12/26. Best of Times reserves the right to issue any refunds due in whole or in part in the form of Future Travel Credit.   

There are NO fees for purchase made using ACH payment (checking account). Purchasing your trip by credit card incurs a credit card processing fee.    For the Independent Traveler, Best of Times Travel does not accept mailed in payments for Day Trip Programs.   

7:45am - 8:00am- Arrive at Danversport, Danvers, MA

8:15am - Depart Danversport by Motorcoach for Boston Harbor

9:30am - Board the Provincetown II

10:00am - Sail Around Boston Harbor on the Provincetown II

11:30am - Approximate End of Sailing and return to Danversport

12:30pm - 2:00pm - Meal Service and Entertainment at Danversport

2:15pm - 2:30pm - Approximate Departure From the program
