This workshop is perfect for both Procreate enthusiasts AND for those who have been curious about learning this amazing drawing App. Come…explore the fantasy of florals…the possibilities of Procreate, and the meditative power of the Mandala. This experience will restore you creatively —in both mind and spirit.
I LOVE wildflowers. There are so many beautiful flowers in the forest preserve near my home.
I like to walk and bike in the preserve, and take pictures of flowers to reference for art projects later.
I am also intrigued with igniting creativity -while keeping the creative spirit calm.
Mandalas are a perfect blend of energy and peace. And, Procreate’s Rotational Symmetry provides a mindfully artistic way to create beautiful Mandalas!
During this relaxing retreat we’ll explore the zen-ful beauty of flowers and mandalas. We will begin by enjoying the outdoors and sketching flowers that we observe.
And then the magic will begin… Rest assured, you do not need to be a pro with Procreate to create this beautiful art. (I will guide you from start to finish with my step-by-step procedure.
So Procreate newbies - this is a delightful way to learn! AND, if you are already familiar with Procreate– again, no worries you’ll enjoy challenging yourself by pushing creative boundaries to draw clever intricacies while rendering your flowers using rotational symmetry.
You’ll be amazed at the results! We’ll finish our project by taking your beautiful art out of your iPad and onto product! Stay tuned to the products you will be able to choose from —to take home to decorate your house, or give as gifts!

Beth Buffington is a licensed illustrator, adjunct college professor, and online course digital illustration instructor.
Like most creatives, she has been drawing since she was old enough to hold a crayon. After graduating with a degree in art and graphic design, Beth began her creative career working for “in-house” corporate art departments. After years of corporate communications, she decided to focus on her personal creative passions, by starting her business, BDI-Celebrate-Today, and BDI-Create-Today.
Her work is two-fold. She creates illustrations and home decor products—and she also instructs college and online students how to be curious about trends, color, texture, and materials—through the creation of digital illustration.
She is passionate about sharing with creatives her thoughts on being a healthy artist who is confident and brave about their artistic skills and their artwork.
Through her “Going FourWords” Creative Process - she helps creatives determine a creative process that will allow them to be more organized, creative and even healthier.
