Course Outline-Join us for an immersive and advanced workshop designed specifically for massage therapists looking to deepen their understanding and skills in clinical orthopedic massage techniques. The curriculum balances theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on application to prepare therapists for working with clients before and after Knee or Hip joint replacement surgery.

Learning objectives-

Upon completion of this 8-hour course, participants will be able to:

1. Review and Integrate Relevant Anatomy and Kinesiology: Participants will apply a deepened understanding of the anatomy and kinesiology of the Hip and Knee impacted by joint replacements.

2. Differentiate between the primary causes for hip and knee joint replacements, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and traumatic injury.

3. Identify and explain the surgical precautions associated with the posterolateral, anterior, and lateral hip replacement approaches to ensure client safety during treatment.

4. Apply lymphatic approaches and myofascial and neuromuscular techniques to address pre and post operative conditions to address swelling, scar tissue development and mobility improvement.

5. Develop and execute comprehensive, client-centered pre- and post-operative massage treatment plans in groups based on case studies.

Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the course date will receive a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee. 

Cancellations made within 14 days of the course date are subject to a 100% cancellation fee and are non-refundable. 

Participants who cancel may apply the amount paid toward a future course scheduled within 6 months of the original course date. Credit must be used within this time frame and is non-transferable.
