Ocean Forest Ecolodge is accessible by boat year-round. We highly recommend this route, especially during the Green Season (May to November), to ensure a smooth and reliable journey.
Your trip from San Josecito Beach back to Sierpe is more than just a transfer—it is a 1.5-hour immersive wildlife safari through Central America’s largest untouched mangrove forest.
Why Choose the Boat?
Wildlife Safari: Turn your departure into one last adventure! Spot monkeys, sloths, crocodiles, and exotic birds as you cruise the Sierpe River.
Breathtaking Views: Enjoy a final look at the stunning San Josecito Beach as you head toward Sierpe, the best hub for connecting to Uvita, Quepos, or San José.
Stress-Free Travel: Avoid difficult rural roads and unpredictable river crossings. The boat is the safest and most reliable option during the rainy season.
Best Value: This remains the most popular, affordable, and scenic route available.
