Join us in BRAZIL for the ultimate mix of adventure, nature, culture, and FUN! We've been working hard for months to create this itinerary on a do-able budget, considering this is the highest season in Brasil, and the VIP boxes at Carnival are very expensive!

*NOTE! Due to the extremely high demand of the VIP Camarotes, hotels, and flights, we are making a booking deadline for this trip of JUNE 18!

We'll be going to THREE of the World Wonders (Iguazu Falls, Amazon Jungle, and Cristo the Redeemer), and we'll be splurging for the ultimate VIP Carnival experience -- the all-inclusive Camarotes (like VIP booths), and a bodyguard for a Bloco (street party).

In case you don't already know, Carnival can get very rowdy, a bit dangerous (theft and unwanted touching), and very chaotic, so we've taken extra measures and have used our expert female travel knowledge to make sure we can experience it in the most fun, yet safest way possible!

Due to enhanced safety measures and limited availability, we are limiting this trip to just 14 guests.

We will also be adding exciting add-ons next month, like Guyana and Suriname!

Since this trip includes flights, the deposit will need to be non-refundable, because we need to book those ASAP and they usually don't offer refunds or name changes.

Our cancellation policy is based on our local tour companies’ policies as well for timing until things like hotels and tours are not refundable, as well as our own fees for all of the admin and work we do to create these trips, and handle all of your bookings! We hope you understand! 

This is also why we make travel insurance MANDATORY, and we highly recommend getting it around the same time you book your flights. That way if a covered issue happens like a flight cancellation or delay, or you (god forbid) get sick or injured, the insurance will likely cover your trip. However, if you cancel for PERSONAL reasons, including work-related issues, financial-issues, family-issues, or fear of travel, the insurance does not cover those reasons, and neither can we, however we try to be as flexible as possible! 

Here is our payment requirements:

• 50% of total trip price paid by 6 months before the trip

• 100% of total trip price paid by 3 months before the trip

• We offer everyone a standard 6 month payment plan with the option to do less installments

Below is an overview of our cancellation policy timeline for personal reasons:

• Up to 8 months before:  Payments other than deposit refunded

• Up to 6 months before: Any other payments besides deposit refunded if spot is filled 

• Up to 3 months before: Payments refunded if spot is filled only, otherwise non-refundable deposit + potential fees from tour company deducted from non-refundable/non-transferable items and admin fees

• Less than 3 months before: non-refundable

For emergency health situations; we will evaluate them on a per basis situation depending on the time of cancellation and ability to have travel insurance cover it or not.

Please be aware that traveling in Brazil can be very stressful at times, and that our itinerary is subject to change dependent on when we can get confirmation of the Camarotes (released in July) and also if the flights change.

It is also very important to be aware of cultural differences and to respect the local rules, traditions, and customs. Negativity towards locals (or fellow travelers) will not be tolerated.

We also ask for your utmost your patience and cooperation, as planning and executing a custom itinerary in this destination is challenging and requires many difficult obstacles that we do our best to keep behind the scenes in order to give you a seamless, enjoyable trip!

Welcome to Brazil and the Amazon Jungle! The first of the three World Wonders we will experience on this exciting, action-packed adventure!

Depending on what time you get in, there may be time for an additional option activity in the city of Manaus, otherwise we'll wait for everyone to get in, and then do our signature Welcome Dinner, Welcome Gift distribution, and briefing!

Overnight: Manaus

To start our adventure out with a bang, we'll head deep into the Amazon Rainforest, farther than where most of the typical/popular tours take you (but we'll also be doing that one tomorrow).

We'll take a very unique full day trek around Presidente Figueiredo, where there are several waterfalls, caves, natural swimming pools, and of course, all the flora and fauna! Be sure to bring binoculars or a camera/phone with zoom!

Our expert guide will explain what all the plants and animals are, as well as the importance of the rainforest, and why we need to protect it!

We'll have lunch in the lush jungle atmosphere mid-way through the adventure, and then return to the hotel around 6pm to freshen up and eat dinner.

(Total trekking time is 8.5 hours with stops, but is light hiking on mostly flat terrain, but expect some rocks and obstacles)

Today we're heading onto the Amazon River with a full‑day boat safari! We’ll cruise past the Meeting of the Waters before heading deeper into the rainforest, where the scenery shifts from wide‑open river to lush, winding tributaries.

Along the way, we’ll stop at riverside villages and keep our eyes peeled for wildlife — pink dolphins, sloths, macaws, caimans, and maybe even a piranha (but like, from the boat).

You’ll get a glimpse of daily life in the Amazon and the incredible biodiversity that makes this region unlike anywhere else. Importantly, we'll also learn about sustainability efforts, and the dangers of global warming, and how we all can do our part to help protect the Amazon Rainforest and River.

After a full day exploring one of the most iconic rivers on Earth, we’ll return to our hotel in Manaus for a well‑earned rest...but fair warning, it might just be a nap, because right now most of the ideal flights to get to Rio are showing a 2:45am departure time...

Overnight: Manaus/Airplane

We'll take an early flight Rio de Janeiro, and again, right now the options are to either leave at 2:45am and arrive by 9am to have a full day there, or leave at 11am, and only have the evening, so right now we are opting for the earlier option, but it's subject to change.

We likely won't be able to check in super early to the hotel, so we'll store our bags, chug some coffee, then it's straight into the action with a full day highlights and beach trip (if possible, depending on Carnival traffic/crowds)!

Today we'll see the second of the three World Wonders -- Cristo the Redeemer, along with Sugarloaf Mountain, Ipanema, and Copacabana Beach!

Later, we'll head back to the hotel to rest for a bit, then choose a good spot for optional group dinner, perhaps somewhere that we can also see some of the Carnival festivities happening around town.

*NOTE: Due for your own safety, due to the high risks of crime during Carnival, we cannot allow anyone to go off on their own in Rio unless you are hiring the guide to accompany you!

Today is going to be one of the most memorable experiences of our lives! We're going to experience all things Carnival but in a safe, VIP way! (If you've been on our Holi trips in India, think that level of safety and fabulousness).

There are two parts of celebrating Carnival -- experiencing the chaos of the street parties during the day (called Blocos), and going to the actual parades at the Sambadrome (hours are 9:30pm to 4am)! We will be doing both, and more!

We'll start the morning by getting our outfits and costumes ready! We will have plenty of options and ideas for you to either bring something from home or buy something there (will need to be in advance). If you don't feel like getting fully decked out, that's not a problem at all, tone it down or turn it up as much as you'd like!

Then, after some photo sessions, we will be hiring a private guide/bodyguard to take us to one of the less-chaotic Blocos, where we may be able to experience the street party from the actual street for a short period of time (we're talking 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how crazy it is, IF it's calm enough). This is all dependent on the guide and what the atmosphere is feeling like -- if it seems like there's too many men or too much drinking, we may skip it and go straight to the next part.

The next part is going to hopefully be lunch at a venue or hotel that overlooks the Blocos, so we can at least see it and hear the festivities!

Today will be absolute chaos, but we need to all stick together (absolutely no solo escapades into the street parties, sorry), so we'll decide as a group when we want to head back to the hotel to freshen up, and for a potential nap, since we can't head to the Sambadrome until 9pm!

When it's time to head out to the Sambadrome, expect more chaos, crowds, and traffic! That's just part of Carnival! But luckily, we will have VIP passes to the less chaotic Camarotes (VIP boxes) where you can freely and safely walk around and enjoy all you can eat and drink! It's going to be a long night, so please pace yourselves, because if one person has to leave, then we all do!

We'll likely try to leave by 2am (or earlier) to avoid crowds, traffic, and because we need to leave the hotel in the morning around 10:30am!

Overnight: Rio

We're ending this adventure with an equally loud bang! Literally...Iguazu Falls is booming! We'll fly into Iguacu on the Brazilian side (eat a big breakfast or grab something from the airport), and head to our hotel near the center. It's a very small town, and more like Manaus than Rio, so don't expect anything extravagant!

Since we likely won't reach the hotel until early evening, we'll just take a stroll around the area and have an early dinner so we can all catch up on some sleep from the lack of it the night before, and the early morning tomorrow!

Overnight: Iguacu

Iguazu Falls is the final of the three World Wonders that we'll be seeing on this trip, and one of Alyssa's personal favorite waterfalls in the world! It'll be her third time seeing it and she has allll the tips to see it from every angle!

We'll get up early to beat the massive crowds, and first head to the Brazil side of the falls! Be prepared to get SOAKED because there's a bridge that goes right over the very top of the falls, next to the "Garganta de el Diablo" (Devil's Throat).

The Brazilian side is a lot shorter and smaller than the Argentinian side, so we should be able to experience it all in just a few hours in the morning. Since we have a private tour, we will ask to stop at the hotel afterwards to quickly change into something dry (if needed, but it's better to bring a change of clothes), before we head off to another country!

The private transfer will take us into Argentina, where it's quite a drive to reach the park from the other side, so we need to try to leave the hotel no later than 12:30pm, and the earlier the better!

There's a lot more hiking involved on the Argentina side, so be prepared for a very active afternoon!

If weather permits, we will also do one of the optional boat trips in the river beneath the falls!

(NOTE: depending on everyone's flights out the next day, we may be able to do the full day on the Argentina side, and then the Brazil side in the morning before flights)

Once we're exhausted from chasing waterfalls, we will head back to our hotel for a warm shower and delicious Brazilian meal!

Today's our last official day of the trip, but the adventure doesn't have to stop here if you don't want it to!

For those who have to go home, you can search flights from IGU out, or you can see if a flight out of Rio is cheaper, and get a one-way flight back there first.

For those who aren't done partying, you can also go back to Rio and catch the last 2 days of Carnival -- the grand finale is on February 13th! Let us know ASAP if you'd like us to try to find you tickets to it!

Or if you want to continue your nature adventure, feel free to stay longer in Iguazu, or perhaps cross the bridge into Uruguay to tick off another new country!
