About this trip

A Women's Yoga, Nature & Mindfulness Retreat in the San Juan Mountains
August 12–15, 2027 | Durango, Colorado

After sold-out weekends in Oregon and Colorado, Breathe & Breeze is heading south to the San Juan Mountains!

Trade traffic, screens, and endless to-do lists for aspen forests, mountain air, and star-filled nights at altitude. Breathe & Breeze is an alcohol-free women's wellness retreat just outside Durango, Colorado. It's a long weekend in the heart of the San Juan Mountains for women craving nature, embodiment, a nervous system reset, and deep restoration. With a small regional airport minutes from town, this Colorado yoga retreat feels wild and far away without the long travel days.

From Thursday to Sunday, you'll experience daily yoga, guided mindfulness practices, nourishing meals, sound healing, women's circles, guided hikes, and plenty of time outdoors. Mornings start with breathwork and movement on the deck, with cool mountain air and sunlight spilling over the ridgeline. Afternoons are for the trail. We'll hike through quaking aspen groves and wildflower meadows, with views of snowcapped peaks across the valley. Evenings slow way down. We'll share a long meal together, sway in the hammock as the sky turns pink over the mountains, then gather in circle as the stars come out, brighter than you've seen them in years.

This women's mindfulness retreat is an invitation to soften, reconnect, and remember what it feels like to be fully present in your body and in nature. Expect grounding practices, real connection with like-minded women, quiet moments in the trees, and space to exhale from the demands of everyday life.

No prior yoga, meditation, or hiking experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity, comfy clothes, good walking shoes, and a willingness to slow down.

The Retreat House
Your home for the weekend is a cedar mountain chalet tucked into the aspens and evergreens. Tall gabled windows fill the house with light and frame the forest outside, making it a beautiful space for sound baths and candlelit yoga nidra. The wide wooden deck is made for sunrise yoga, slow morning coffee, and stargazing after dark. Below it, stone steps wind through a wildflower yard, and a hammock under the trees waits for afternoon naps. From the hillside, you can look out over aspen groves to the snowcapped San Juans.

Nature Time in the San Juans
Durango sits at the edge of some of the most breathtaking hiking in Colorado. The Colorado Trail begins just outside town, Hermosa Creek winds through old-growth forest and meadows, and the Animas River runs right through the valley. We'll gather at the water's edge for a river release ceremony, letting the current carry away whatever you're ready to stop holding. Mid-August in the San Juan Mountains brings warm sunny mornings, cool nights, and wildflowers still blooming in the high country. It's summer at its most alive.
