ITINERARY:

DAY 1: CUSCO - KM 82 - AGUAS CALIENTES
The 2-day, 1-night Inca Trail tour begins with an exciting early morning departure from your hotel in Cusco to the train station in Ollantaytambo. From there, you'll board a panoramic train to KM 104, the starting point of this unforgettable adventure.
The hike begins at the archaeological site of Chachabamba (2,250 m.a.s.l.), where an expert guide will immerse you in the history and magic of this ancient Inca site. The journey continues for approximately 3 hours, passing through stunning landscapes and unique biodiversity until reaching Wiñaywayna, an impressive archaeological site with agricultural terraces and religious zones offering spectacular views of the valley and surrounding mountains.
After a revitalizing lunch, the trail leads to Inti Punku or the "Sun Gate," where you'll enjoy an iconic view of Machu Picchu at sunset. Finally, you'll descend to the Machu Picchu citadel and take a tourist bus to Aguas Calientes, where you'll enjoy a well-deserved night of rest.
Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

DAY 2: AGUAS CALIENTES / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO
After an early breakfast, you'll be picked up from your hotel for an exciting 30-minute bus ride along a zigzagging road to the iconic Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, located at 2,400 m.a.s.l. There, you'll enjoy a 2.5-hour guided tour, exploring its most emblematic sites: plazas, temples, sacred fountains, and the famous Intihuatana, the Inca solar clock.
After the guided tour, you'll have free time to continue exploring and take stunning photos from strategic viewpoints. You will then take the tourist bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch at local restaurants.
In the afternoon, depending on your train schedule, you'll board the return train to Ollantaytambo or Poroy. Upon arrival, our representative will be waiting for you with a sign with your name to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
Overnight in Cusco on your own.
