Day 2, Monday, July 29th:  Vancouver is known for its spectacular gardens, beautiful views and pristine location right next to the mountains on the Pacific Coast. Our tour today will feature some of the most beautiful highlights of this delightful city including Stanley Park and Granville Island. We will then enjoy a group dinner near our hotel.

Day 3, Tuesday, July 30th: This morning we head to the train station where we board the luxurious Rocky Mountaineer Train for our scenic 2-day ride to the Canadian Rockies. Our first day will end with an overnight stop in the prairie town of Kamloops. We enjoy comfortable hotel accommodations and dinner in Kamloops before heading back to the train station in the morning.

Day 4, Wednesday, July 31st: It’s back aboard the Rocky Mountaineer today as we travel into the spectacular Canadian Rockies. Our journey will feature incredible scenery as we make our way to Jasper National Park. We will then be taken by local transportation to our deluxe accommodations in Jasper for a relaxing evening here in one of North America’s most beautiful National Park destinations. (Jasper hotel elevation: 3,400 feet)

 Day 5, Thursday, August 1st: Our day of sightseeing by motorcoach in Jasper will be highlighted by a boat trip on pristine Maligne Lake, and group lunch nearby. Famed for its azure water surrounded by striking mountain peaks, three glaciers visible from the lake and isolated Spirit Island, visitors are awed by this iconic and memorable experience. We will then enjoy time to rest back at our hotel before dinner.

Day 6, Friday, August 2nd: We board our comfortable motorcoach today for a journey along the famous Icefields Parkway, featuring a stop at the Columbia Icefields’ Athabasca Glacier. Our visit here will include a ride on an all-terrain vehicle that takes us onto the ice itself for an up-close glacier experience, plus the amazing skywalk that offers unsurpassed views of the surrounding glaciers and alpine landscape. We continue on to beautiful Banff National Park where we check-in at our home for the next 2 nights, the world-renowned, legendary Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, one of Canada’s most revered destination hotels, featuring world-class cuisine, service and accommodations. Day 7, Saturday, August 3rd: Today our motorcoach will take us on a tour to some of Banff’s famous scenic spots, which will include spectacular Lake Louise. We then enjoy a gondola ride that will feature fabulous alpine scenery and remarkable views that are some of the best in the Rockies. Group dinner at the memorable restaurant at the top of the gondola!

Day 8, Sunday August 4th: Today we bid farewell to the mountains as we enjoy a relaxing motorcoach transfer to the nearby city of Calgary, Alberta. We then check in to a hotel near the City’s center and enjoy our tour’s final night with a banquet dinner nearby.

Day 9, Monday, August 5th: Our tour’s final day will start with a transfer to the Calgary International Airport, a modern, convenient gateway. We relax on our non-stop flight from Calgary to San Francisco where waiting vehicles will be there to greet us for the ride back home to Marin and Fairfield.
