What kind of weather should I expect in April?

April is one of the best times to visit Cape Verde. Expect warm, sunny days averaging 77–84°F (25–29°C) with low humidity and refreshing ocean breezes. Pack light, breathable clothing, swimwear, and a light jacket for the evenings.

Is this a good trip for solo travelers?

Absolutely. Many of our guests join solo and leave with lifelong friends. You’ll be part of a supportive, welcoming travel family. Roommate matching is available if you’d like to share accommodations.

Will there be free time or downtime?

Yes. While this is a vibrant, activity-rich experience, we’ve intentionally included time for rest, reflection, and personal exploration. You’ll have a mix of guided activities and free time to enjoy the beach, shop, or simply recharge.

Are there any COVID or health requirements?

Currently, there are no COVID-19 testing or vaccine requirements for entry into Cape Verde. We recommend checking updated CDC or WHO guidelines and purchasing travel insurance with medical coverage.

What language is spoken in Cape Verde?

The official language is Portuguese, but most locals speak Cape Verdean Kriolu, a Creole dialect. In tourist areas, many people speak basic English or French. Our guide team will be with you throughout.

What’s the food like in Cape Verde?

Cape Verdean cuisine blends African, Portuguese, and Brazilian influences. Expect fresh seafood, grilled meats, rice, tropical fruits, and traditional dishes like Cachupa (a slow-cooked stew). Most restaurants offer vegetarian options as well.

Is there Wi-Fi and cell service on the islands?

Yes. Most hotels have Wi-Fi, and cell service is reliable in main areas. You can purchase a local SIM card or use international roaming depending on your carrier.

Will I need an adapter for my electronics?

Yes. Cape Verde uses European-style plugs (Type C and F) with 220V voltage. Bring a universal adapter if you're coming from the U.S., U.K., or countries with different plug types.

Is Cape Verde safe for travelers?
