STILL PHOTOGRAPHY & DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY
The Utah Badlands & Capitol Reef National Park are home to some of the most raw, rugged and unique landscapes in our country. This is also a location that currently allows drones in certain areas. We will combine still photography and drone photography for different locations throughout the workshop. New to drones? Randy Wilson is a drone photographer and can help you learn your equipment and get the perfect aerial photos! Not interested in drone photography, Jennifer will be there to help you create the most beautiful landscape and abstract photos!

Airports closest to our workshop location. This area is drivable from many areas on the west coast and southwest.
The locations we will explore during the workshop are rated moderate, and you should expect to walk up to 2 miles in rocky or sandy terrain. You should be in general good health and capable of carrying your own equipment while we are out in the field.
We stay in the small town of Hanksville, Utah, which has a couple of restaurants, a market, gas station, and is very close to Capitol Reef National Park. We have arranged for lodging at the Muddy Creek Mining Company, and will be staying in brand new cabins with kitchenettes.
A high-clearance vehicle is required to navigate certain areas we plan to photograph. Cathedral Valley in Capitol Reef is a remote, rugged region which will require high clearance such as large SUV, or 4x4 vehicle if you have one. JKPW will help to pair participants with transportation if you request.
