This was our second visit to the Rainforest Chocolate Tour- the last one was in 2019.  Both visits were fantastic, so informative and so much fun.  The chocolate tasting is awesome and lasted until no one could eat another spoonful!  Highly recommend!

The Rainforest Chocolate Tour was a great experience and we are so glad that we did it! Learning about chocolate making and cacao growing was very intersting and informative. Getting to sample the chocolate and add our own flavorings was super fun and delicious. This tour is definitely worth the time and money if you are in La Fortuna!

L’expérience était amusante et divertissante. Les guides et le personnel sont adorables et très gentils et le fait de pouvoir tester nos propres recettes de chocolat était amusant. Toutefois je recherchais un endroit qui allait entrer dans les détails de la fabrication du chocolat en soit et ce n’était pas le cas. Ça ne leur enlève rien car ils offrent un très bon service et c’est un bel endroit mais juste pour que vous le sachiez, vous allez en apprendre sur l’histoire, la maturation du cacao etc mais ça n’ira pas plus loin que la récolte et le roasting et essayer des mélanges. Ce qui est déjà bien en soit mais pas si complet quand on veut vraiment connaître toutes les étapes de la récolte jusqu’au résultat final qui est la barre de chocolat. Un peu comme toutes les activités au Costa Rica ça revient vite cher donc ça aurait été cool de repartir avec plus de connaissances.

We really enjoy our tour.  There were 6 on our tour, which was the perfect size.  Guapo Chapo, our tour guide, was great!  He was informative, funny and personable.  His assistant for making the chocolate was also very nice.  The different chocolate options were delicious, especially, the Gaupo Chapo special!  I wish they sold that in the store!

Our tour guide, Keilor, was funny, he made the experience fun and memorable. We saw lots of animals (toucan, birds, sloth, frogs). He made sure to point this out and give us information of the place, the fruits, and the animals. He made everyone in the group feel included in activities when making the chocolate, made it fun with jokes and music, and gave a history of the chocolate making process.

We had a great time on the chocolate tour.  Unfortunately, I can't remember our guide's name, but he was wonderful and entertaining.  My husband and I learned about/tasted chocolate, saw a sloth and learned interesting facts about them, saw a cinnamon tree and saw how to get cinnamon from it and much more.  This was the only tour we did in LaFortuna and it was well worth it.  Our guide made fun with his humorous personality!

We had the pleasure of having Keylor as our guide on the rainforest chocolate tour, and we truly couldn’t recommend him—or the experience—enough. He brought great energy and enthusiasm throughout the tour and did an excellent job engaging everyone in the group and making sure no one felt left out.

Keylor perfectly balanced the educational and historical aspects of chocolate in Costa Rica with a light, fun, and interactive atmosphere. He went into great detail about the entire chocolate-making process, making it both informative and enjoyable from start to finish.

Overall, this was a 10/10 experience and a must-do for anyone visiting the area!

Roberto and the team providing an educational and very interactive tour, with lots and lots of fresh chocolate to experience! My family, including 3 teenage kids loved it! Would highly recommend.

El Chapo Guapo was a very interesting tour guide and we learned so much from
him about how chocolate was made. The chocolate that we tried during the tour was fantastic. Also, we just happened to see a sloth on the plantation, which was an awesome surprise. 

We found out about Rainforest while looking for a chocolate tour. It was fantastic - our guide and team were magnificent and kept the tour light-hearted, informative, and fun! Very close if you’re staying in La Fortuna, and absolutely will come back next time we’re in the neighborhood

Interesting tour! Our guide was very funny, and we learned about lot about the origin and the making process of chocolate. We also tasted lots of chocolate!

We had a great time on this tour! We danced, sang and laughed the entire time! Our host was hilarious my husband said he reminded him of George Lopez! He was also a natural Willy Wonka when making our chocolate! There was fire, there were marshmallows, and chilli powder and SO much more, he was a true mixologist making the chocolate taste better every time!
