Overall, the experience was very positive. There were some interesting moments for sure. We booked our travel with this agency however, the agency that gave us the tour is an agency and Bolivia called Estrella del Sur and the Agency and atended us in Atacama was Uyuni Premier. There are so many agencies involved that sometimes it’s hard to keep track. Uyuni Premier, who we paid the remaining fees to and who we spoke with in Atacama was probably a 3.5… they sent us the information about the Tour less than 24 hours before the tour started. This was problematic because we didn’t have all the necessary items needed to leave for Bolivia. Also, we were both dual citizens and we were informed in this moment that we were going to have to pay an unnecessary visa fee because we had entered chili with a different passport than the one that we were going to use to enter enter Bolivia. They made it very complicated and even made us question if we were going to be able to enter Bolivia at all. At one point, we almost didn’t go. However, we had to do our own research and we said that if we had to pay for the visa, we would do it in the border. In the end, the border patrol actually asked for a bribe or else they threatened to deport us. Estrella del Sur was the travel agent agency that picked us up in the Bolivian border and did the tour. We had Alejandro who was amazing and honestly a really good Tour Guide. It is important to know that this is not a glamorous tour. The food is very bland and I would highly recommend bringing your own snacks. There could be some work done with some of the food provided specially in the breakfasts in uyuni. It’s also important to know that Bolivia is still learning how to treat tourist so we had some interesting experiences interacting with the local. But this is not necessarily the problem of the agency.

Excelente viaje en compañía de nuestro driver y guía Sami. El salsr es espectacular y todos lo que se visita hasta llegar y después de ver el Salar es fantástico. Hicimos el tour privado y los hoteles están muy bien, cada uno tiene su encanto. Un tour muy recomendable y hacerlo con Estrella del sur fue todo un acierto.

Maravilloso tour por el salar y las lagunas altiplánicas. Inmejorable el guía conductor. Al ser una persona de la zona conoce las costumbres, la climatología y el terreno, lo que hace el viaje muy ameno y seguro. Un 10 por la conducción tranquila, no se notaba que íbamos por fuera de pista. Muy recomendable.
