A variety of terrain; rock scrambles; challenging gradients and spectacular views, will be enough to fulfill your desire for a quick thrill. If luck is on your side, there may be sightings of Eagle rays; Manta rays and dolphins.
For this one, we start the adventure in Macqueripe Bay. Here we will hike out of the bay and make our descent onto Trinidad's North Coast. Here you will be immediately faced with an interesting 3.5km/2mi rock scramble. Along this segment, you will inevitably have to get wet a few times; none of these swim segments would exceed 300m.
If we get lucky on this segment, there is the possibility to have sightings of dolphin, airborne eagle rays and manta rays and ofcourse, some of the resident green turtles.
At the end of this segment there is a trek out to Bamboo Cathedral which starts off with a fairly steep gradient of about 200m650ft. After this is conquered, its a relaxing 3km/1.9mi trek back to Macqueripe Bay where you can enjoy the rest of your morning.
