The adventure begins with a scenic 1 hour 15-minute boat ride to Sirena Ranger Station, one of the best places in Corcovado National Park for wildlife encounters.

Once at Sirena, enjoy a leisurely 4-hour hike along the trails surrounding the ranger station, exploring one of the most biodiverse areas of the park. Along the way, you may encounter all four species of monkeys found in Costa Rica, as well as scarlet macaws, toucans, peccaries, coatis, sloths, and, with a little luck, the elusive Baird’s tapir.

After lunch, we continue by boat toward San Pedrillo Ranger Station, where the experience takes you deeper into Corcovado’s pristine rainforest.

Depending on weather and trail conditions, you may hike to a beautiful jungle waterfall, where you can take a refreshing swim, or explore the surrounding primary rainforest, one of the oldest and most untouched ecosystems in the region.

After the hike, we return to the beach and board the boat for the scenic journey back to Drake Bay.

A full day immersed in Corcovado’s wildlife, rainforest and coastline — with two of the park’s most iconic ranger stations in one unforgettable adventure.


Departure: 6:00am

Return: Between 3:30 and 4:00pm

Hiking Ability: Challenging – approximately 15 km of hiking through tropical rainforest trails. A good level of fitness is required, as the hike involves uneven terrain, heat, humidity, and several hours of walking.

What to Bring

Please come prepared with:

• Comfortable, lightweight clothing

• Hiking shoes or sturdy closed-toe shoes

• Water shoes

• Rain gear or a waterproof jacket

• Insect repellent

• Sunscreen

• Swimming suit

• Towel

• A photo of your passport on your phone

• Reusable water bottle with enough water for the hike

What Not to Bring

For the protection of Corcovado National Park and its wildlife, the following items are not allowed:

• Food

• Single-use plastic bottles ⚠️ Please bring water in a reusable bottle.

• Knives or other sharp objects

• Cigarettes or electronic cigarettes

• Lighters or matches

• Drugs

• Alcohol

• Drones
