Reviews

I recently had the pleasure of booking a trip to Costa Rica through Il Viaggio Travel, and I can't say enough about the wonderful experience we had. From the moment we started planning the trip to the moment we returned home, everything was meticulously planned and executed by Natalia, our dedicated travel coordinator. Natalia's professionalism and dedication to making our trip special were evident from the start. She was incredibly responsive and always available for messages, making communication a breeze. She kept us informed about any changes in the itinerary well in advance and was always clear and concise in her explanations. What stood out the most about Natalia, though, was her warm and caring nature. She treated us like family and made sure every aspect of our trip was tailored to our accessibility and accommodation requirements. Our Costa Rica adventure was a truly memorable one. The itinerary Natalia crafted for us was not only accessible but also filled with exciting activities. We had the chance to experience adaptive ziplining, adaptive surfing, relaxing in the hot springs, exploring the Crocodile River on a boat tour, learning about chocolate and coffee making, visiting an organic farm, exploring the city, and strolling through a beautiful botanical garden and more. The transportation provided was excellent. The car with an electric lift was spacious and comfortable, making our journey pleasant and hassle-free. Our guide, Alejandro, was a wealth of knowledge about Costa Rica's culture and history. He was not only friendly but also caring and helpful throughout the trip. His restaurant recommendations were spot on, and we enjoyed some fantastic local cuisine thanks to him. Randall, our driver, was also a pleasure to have on board. He was friendly and helpful, ensuring our transfers were smooth. All the hotels we stayed at during our trip were nice, offering fully accessible rooms that met our needs perfectly. We appreciated the attention to detail in ensuring our comfort and accessibility at every accommodation. In summary, our trip to Costa Rica through this travel agency was nothing short of amazing. Natalia's meticulous planning, her warm and caring approach, the diverse and accessible activities, comfortable transportation, and the wonderful guides and drivers all contributed to a truly memorable and enjoyable experience. We couldn't have asked for a better trip, and we're immensely grateful for the effort and care that went into making it so special. Thank you for a fantastic adventure! Can't wait to come back again.

There were some major problems with our trip. We decided to make a slight change in itinerary, stay one more night in one hotel. I was told that the extra night would be $290 and the price of the hotel we canceled would be refunded. No refund was ever issued, and when I asked they claimed there was a miscommunication. A quality company would take responsibility. The final hotel was not really wheelchair accessible, horrible harsh steep scary roads between everything, and no accessible pools at all. On the 3rd day we were supposed to zipline. But the guide got us there too late, the zipline was closed. So we had to zipline on day 5 followed by a 6-hour car ride. That was brutal! Our itinerary had a number of lunches included, and 2 box lunches. I was not made aware of the rules of these lunches, no drinks. the box lunches never happened. There were a few tours on the itinerary that did not happen because of the zipline problem, so if there was any money in the trip budget for those events the company just kept that money. Not very honest. Costa Rica is beautiful! But I would not use wetravel again.

Dear Mr. Scott, Greetings from Costa Rica! Let's begin by providing our readers with accurate information: 1. At the end of your journey, in Costa Rica, you were specifically at Hotel Parador, in the accessible Suite Room. It is here, where you decided to extend your visit by an additional night at this hotel instead of returning to San Jose. It is interesting to note that this is the same hotel you mentioned as not being accessible. We would like to understand why you chose to stay longer if you found the hotel not accessible to your satisfaction. 2. We would like to invite you to compare the real price of the Suite at Hotel Parador online, which typically has an average nightly rate of $400 USD+tax, to the $290 USD you paid. The price difference is due to IL VIAGGIO TRAVEL refunding the night in San Jose. We did this out of our desire to assist you. Please remember that last-minute changes are usually subject to a 100% penalty according to our policies. However, we did pay for your night in San Jose and the hotel applied their cancellation policies to us. Nonetheless, we were happy to help, and you only had to cover the difference in price. 3. You mentioned there was no accessible pool at Hotel Parador. But, the main pool has a beach ramp access that is fully accessible to everyone. 4. Regarding the Zipline Tour, you are correct. You arrived late, and due to the canopy policies, the only available adapted zipline tour was at 1 pm. In order to ensure you didn't miss out on the experience, we assisted in rescheduling the activity to the only day you had available, which was day 6 of your journey. 5. The driving distances were provided in advance in your itinerary and package, and you agreed to them when you purchased the package. 6. Regarding meals, when we include them in the packages, they are arranged at designated local restaurants with preselected menus, often featuring local dishes like casado with soft drinks. However, during the trip, you opted for more luxurious dining establishments and ordered alcoholic beverages outside of the proposed included meals. As a result, you incurred additional costs. 7. The only tour you were unable to do due to logistics was the guided visit to Carara National Park, which has an entrance fee of $15 USD. We are more than willing to refund you that amount. As you can see, we made every effort to ensure your satisfaction and create the best possible Costa Rica experience. Although there were certain situations beyond our control, such as the late arrival, we were always there to address any last-minute changes, requests, or issues. Our priority is always to take care of our travelers and ensure they have a memorable journey. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We value your feedback and strive to continuously improve our services. Best regards, IL VIAGGIO TRAVEL
