After breakfast, we'll take you into the Gorski Kotar region from where we'll begin our TransDinarica cycling adventure! Our cycle will take us into the heart of the beautiful Risnjak National Park, accompanied by stunning woodland and mountain views; the mere sight of the rugged peaks of Veliki Risnjak (at 1,528 meters, the highest peak in the park) and Snjeznik (1,505 m) are sure to energize you!

Our ride will take us towards Lokvarsko Lake and some nice single trails before rolling into Fuzine, a lovely 17th-century town and our base for the night.

For today's adventure we'll be tackling part of the new exciting MTB race "Fuzine 2 Sea" held in the area of Gorski Kotar and the Northern Adriatic coast. Passing by the Primorje mountains, we'll begin our descent to the coast along a thrilling single trail until the town of Novi Vinodolski. From here it's an up-slope ride, as we head for Senj - once the home of "Senski Uskoci", a brave medieval resistance army who fought Ottoman and Venetian invaders. 

Eat a hearty breakfast, for today we encounter one of the biggest challenges on the Croatian section of the TransDinarica trail - climbing the mighty mountain of Velebit, the heart of the Dinaric mountain range and the "Mount Olympus of Croatia". It's a short but tough ascent, with beautiful views of the Northern Adriatic coast and islands as our reward.

From Senj, we'll begin a gradual uphill towards Velebit. Upon reaching the Oltare pass, we'll make our way into the Northern Velebit National Park (Babic Sica), from where gravel roads will lead us to the Zavizan mountain hut - the highest  meteorological station in Croatia and our stop for the night. On a clear day, you can see all the way to the Apenine mountains of Italy and if you're really lucky, perhaps even to 

From Zavizan, we will ride along the main ridge if Velebit - the largest and longest mountain in Croatia. A real highlight of this trip, you'll enjoy views of the incredible rugged formations of the Dinaric mountains as we cycle our way through lush forests and meadows. Riding through the heart of the Northern Velebit dividing Central and Southern Velebit.

Descending from Baske Ostarije by the northern slopes of Central Velebit, we'll embark on the longest ride of the trip. As we continue towards the southeastern part of the mountain, our bikes will take us past Gospic town (birthplace of inventor Nikola Tesla) and into the sparsely populated Lika region - known for its fertile land, pristine rivers, dense forests, and variety of wildlife. Derived from the Greek word for wolf (lykos), Lika has always been home to many important species of wildlife, including the three "big beasts" of Croatia: bears, wolves, and lynx.

We'll end our ride in Lovinac, a serene town located at the foot of Southern Velebit. A hearty dinner and a good night's rest will prepare us for one final day of cycling tomorrow!

Our last ride will take us from the northern to the southern side of Velebit, via the gravel "Majstorska cesta" (Master Road). Built in the 19th century during Austro-Hungarian rule of Croatia, it was one of the masterpieces of road building at the time - today, it's still one of the most scenic routes in Croatia! 

Watch out for some rougher sections as we ascend from the village of Sv. Rok, across Mali Halan pass and in sight of the "Tulove grede" - awe-inspiring limestone pillars overlooking the southern Velebit area.

Our descent will be even more enjoyable, as we are treated to stunning views of the islands and coast of the Zadar region. A picnic lunch on the banks of the Zrmanja River will allow you to cool off from the tough "Velebit traverse" - either from the fresh air of from taking a brave dip in the cold clean waters!

After lunch, we'll transfer you to Biograd na moru, a lovely coastal town where we'll enjoy our last afternoon of the trip. Take in the warm Mediterranean spirit with a seaside stroll; try some local cuisine and relax with a glass or two (maybe not 101) of Dalamatian wine. In the evening, we'll enjoy one last dinner together and reminisce on our TransDinarica adventure!

We'll transfer you to your port of departure (Zadar/Split/Zagreb).
