For seven days, journey with a community of like-minded seekers to the Sacred Valley — a place long revered by the Inca as a portal between worlds.  Grounded in nature, spirit, and ancestral traditions, this immersive experience will guide you back to your inner knowing.

Travel ✈️

Arrive in Cusco, Peru, where your journey begins.

Airport transportation to and from the retreat center is included for a seamless and stress-free arrival. 🌄🚌

Arrival: Soft Landing

📍Group pick-up from Cusco Airport (CUZ): Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport.

📅  It is recommended you arrive to the city of Cusco, Peru, the previous day (April 17, 2026) and meet at the Cusco Airport before 10am on 4/18/26.  However, if you can find an early flight, and are confident your flight will not be late, you can fly into the CUZ airport on 4/18/25 (at your own risk).

The reason we recommend arriving to Cusco one night early is, should your airplane arrive delayed, you will miss the group shuttle (included in the price).

Should you miss the group shuttle or simply decide to arrive at a different time, private taxis for 2-3 persons available for around $75 USD one-way from Cusco Airport to Samadhi.

Departure: Safe Travels

📍The journey from Samadhi Sacred Valley Retreat Center in Huayllabamba to Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (CUZ) in Cusco typically takes about 1-2 hours by car under normal traffic conditions.

🕒 The group van will depart Samadhi at 10:30 AM, and we can expect to arrive at the airport before 12:30 PM.  To ensure a smooth departure, it's advisable to schedule outbound flights no earlier than 2:00 PM, allowing ample time for check-in, security procedures, and any unforeseen delays.

For added peace of mind, especially considering potential traffic variations or unexpected delays, booking flights departing after 2:30 PM is recommended.

However, you may also choose to stay extra nights on your own in Cusco or in other areas of Peru.

Altitude Awareness 🌄

🌄 Altitude Awareness: What to Expect in Cusco & the Sacred Valley

Traveling to the Andes is a truly magical experience, but it's important to be mindful of the altitude. Cusco sits at approximately 11,000 feet (3,400 meters) above sea level, while the Sacred Valley is a bit lower at around 9,000 feet (2,750 meters)—making it a gentler location to begin your acclimation.

At this elevation, some guests may experience mild symptoms of altitude adjustment, such as lightheadedness, shortness of breath, or fatigue—this is completely normal and usually temporary.

💫 Helpful Tips for Acclimation:

  • ~ Take it slow: Give yourself time to rest and settle in upon arrival.
  • ~ Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help your body adjust.
  • ~ Avoid alcohol and heavy meals on your first day.
  • ~ Coca tea and herbal infusions are traditionally used in Peru to support altitude adjustment.
  • ~ Listen to your body and honor your pace as you settle into this new, elevated energy.

Our retreat in the Sacred Valley is intentionally designed to support a smooth transition, allowing your body to adjust naturally while surrounded by serene landscapes and nourishing practices. You’ll be feeling grounded and revitalized in no time.

9:00 AM – 🏞️ Sacred Site Exploration / Group Excursion: Macchu Pichu
We begin our day early, traveling in private transport to the Ollantaytambo train station, where a scenic 1 hour and 45-minute journey by train carries us through the heart of the Sacred Valley to the town of Aguas Calientes.

Upon arrival, we’ll have time to enjoy breakfast and prepare for the next step of our pilgrimage.

From there, we ascend by bus to the majestic sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Before entering, our spiritual guide will offer a traditional invocation in the Quechua (Inca) language, asking permission from the sacred mountain spirits — the Apus. Each participant is also invited to offer their own personal prayer in the language of their lineage, creating a circle of ancestral connection.

Inside the site, we let intuition guide us to energetic points throughout the citadel. Together, we share the sacred Coca leaves (Mama Coca) with Apu Machu Picchu and Apu Huayna Picchu, opening our hearts and harmonizing our energy channels through gentle practices designed to help us feel the spirit of the land.

In the afternoon, we return to Aguas Calientes for a well-deserved lunch before beginning our journey back — carrying with us the energy and wisdom of the mountains.

9:00 AM – 🏞️ Sacred Healing Ceremony: Temazcal & Paqarina

Temazcal & Paqarina Ceremony: Return to the Womb of the Great Mother

This sacred ritual invites you to symbolically return to the womb of Pachamama — the Great Mother — to be cleansed, renewed, and reborn. Rooted in traditional Indigenous medicine, the Paqarina Ceremony is a deeply therapeutic experience that weaves together heat, steam, and the healing power of sacred plants.

Held within a natural sweat lodge — lovingly crafted from tree branches and covered with textiles — the space becomes a warm, enclosed sanctuary. Inside, glowing stones are placed at the center, and water infused with eucalyptus, sage, cedar, and other medicinal herbs is gently poured over them, releasing purifying steam.

Guided by a traditional shaman in the quiet intimacy of the center, this ceremony is an invitation to return to the source, release what no longer serves, and awaken to a renewed sense of self — cleansed in body, spirit, and soul.

Wander through stalls filled with handwoven textiles, sacred symbols, natural dyes, and handcrafted jewelry — each piece holding a story, a lineage, a blessing. You’ll have time to explore, meet local artisans, and perhaps find a keepsake that speaks to your spirit.

As the mountains watch quietly overhead, this is more than just a market visit — it’s an invitation to connect with the soul of the valley through its people, its craft, and its living culture.
