My daughter and I checked one off of the "bucket list" with this trip. Absolutely a wonderful experience. Great group! Great guides! Great food! The views of the Andes is awesome! The Trexperience staff and support were superb to make this a peak experience.

My guide Sutta was awesome! He was personable, professional, knowledgeable and a great tour guide to be with. I was lucky enough to be solo with him, so I had his undivided attention. I would highly recommend him for any tour!!

I had an amazing adventure with TreXperience despite a full-day delay during the trip due to protests and train closures! TreXperience is an awesome organization and I will certainly book with them again if I choose additional adventure travel around Cusco. Everyone on the team was fabulous! Sutta, our guide, is the best guide I have ever had through my many years of travel. I watched other guides on the trail and he was far superior. He always remained with the slowest hiker and provided positive moral support. Sutta even helped hikers from other groups when their guides ignored them. Most importantly, due to the protests and day closures, Sutta stuck with us and got us back to Cusco just one day late. He worked with TreXperience management to get us hotels at no extra charge. He was creative in figuring out alternative routes to avoid the protesters by calling locals and getting special intelligence. He even obtained a car for two of us who could not hike any longer after our added 30km railway hike to take us 4-5 km closer to walk through the protesters. Throughout, Sutta always remained calm, helping us to all feel safe despite the situation. We were the first group to get back to Cusco because of his perseverance. Chef Rolando and Assistant Chef Martin prepared extraordinary meals. They tailored the meals to everyone's tastes and restrictions. The food was amazing particularly given the conditions and cooking after full mornings and afternoons of strenuous hiking. The Head Porter, Porfirio, and his team of 10 were also superb. It amazes me that they carried our heavy gear through difficult trails and always had everything perfectly set up when we arrived. I lifted their pack with some assistance and found it even more amazing! Thank you to the whole TreXperience team. Our trek was during very unusual circumstance. Due to the strikes, there were only two groups from difference operators hiking the 4 day Inca trail with a total of 11 hikers and two teams of guides/support. I was told that there are usually 150-400 hikers on the trail. When we started our trek, the trains were running and we expected to be home at the end of the 4th night. Unfortunately, the trains from Aguas Calientes shut down just as we were ready to board. TreXperience paid for our hotel rooms even though there was a chance that another train might have left 6 hours later. We were then able to take our first good shower in 4 days. Alpaca Expeditions, in contrast, had their hikers wait in a restaurant until the next train was cancelled. TreXperience paid for our rooms for the night. Alpaca Expeditions made the hikers pay for their rooms. When it became clear that the trains were not going to resume for a few days, Sutta called a group meeting so that we could be involved in the final decision-making of our next steps. Ultimately, we opted to hike 30km along the railway track at 4am. We were expecting to have a van meet us at the end of the 30km, but the protesters blocked their way. Sutta immediately got on the phone and determined next steps. Ultimately, we had to walk through protester lines once and wait an additional 3 hours for a second protester line, but that was unavoidable. We returned to Cusco at 6 pm while the other group was not able to return until 10pm. That was all thanks to Sutta's and TreXperience's diligence. In terms of the normal hiking experience, I was the oldest in the group by 15 years and had some difficulties with breathing due to the altitude. Sutta stayed with me whenever I was in the rear and was very professional, advising me to stop frequently and making sure I was not having any complications. In contrast, the other guide from the group mentioned above, did not remain with the slowest hiker, who felt very frustrated based on my frequent discussions with her. I feel very lucky that I selected TreXperience, had Sutta as my guide and had an awesome support team. I also feel lucky to have experienced these beautiful views with so few tourists. Thank you!

We used Trexperience to book the entire first week of our honeymoon. Trexperience helped me set up my trip exactly as I wanted, while taking care of all the logistics that can be so overwhelming. The hotels they chose for us were all great. Our guides William and Juvenal were fantastic, extremely knowledgeable and so nice. Juvenal was with us for the Short Inca Trail hike and the Humantay Lake hike, and was extremely patient with our pace and kept chatting with us and keeping our spirits up! Both guides also did a great job of helping us avoid crowds at some of the most crowded places. Our honeymoon was amazing and memorable and we're grateful to Trexperience for helping us achieve that!

This trip was a true (Trex)perience due to the weather, and the epic return journey which ciuld have been a deception had it not been for the negotiating skills of guide Johny. Not only did he accompany us in everything, shared his knowledge and his humor but also did he handle our exceptional situation with endurance and calm. Thanks to him, we got rare permission to backtrack to the upper part to enjoy the view we missed the previous day because of bad weather and our 20h return jourbey ,due to the blockages, was handled with safety and endurance from him and his colleagues guide and driver. TreXperience is a solid and reliable agency willing to suggest the perfect program for you.
