We did the Cultural tour from Cuenca that went to the Archeological site of the Kanaris and Incas, then onto a Weaving factory for demonstrations and a chance to shop. A stop for lunch at a very nice restaurant in the hotel Arhana in Gualaceo and then we went to Cordeles for a Silver Filigree making demonstration (super interesting) and a chance to shop in the Silver Shops and other local shops in the town. I liked Cordeles very much. I would recommend this tour. Our guide - Wilson was VERY knowledgeable about the history of the Archeological site and had very interesting tidbits to share throughout the tour.

We did a 3-day guided tour from Cuenca to Quito with Luis, and it was a fantastic experience. Luis is a local from Cuenca, originally from the Ingapirca area, and his knowledge of the region really made the trip special. Along the way, we visited Ingapirca and Cotopaxi, and Luis shared not only the rich history of Ecuador but also insights into its current life and culture. He has a great way of explaining things clearly and with genuine interest, whether it’s about the country’s past, its people, or the incredible plants and wildlife we saw on the road. Besides being very knowledgeable, Luis is simply a kind and easygoing person to travel with. Everything felt well-organized and relaxed at the same time. We’d definitely recommend a tour with Luis if you want to learn more about Ecuador and enjoy the journey as much as the destinations!

We had a very enjoyable and interesting tour at the sites with our Driver/Guide Wilson. We also stopped at some roadside stands where we ate some delicious local foods. Wilson knows so much about Cuenca and was one of our best guides in our tours thru Ecuador.

Absolutely unforgettable experience with Cuenca Bestours and our amazing guide Luis Gonzalez. Communication with Javier was very smooth from the beginning to the end. Questions were answered immediately thought email or chat messages. They organized a personalized 5-days tour from Quito to Guayaquil for us which consisted of many breathtaking views, hikes and exciting activities, private transportation, unique haciendas and delicious local meals. The van provided was in an excellent condition and maintained impeccably clean every day throughout the trip. Our guide Luis was extremely friendly, kind and patient. He speaks with such passion and knowledge about his country that it is impossible not to fall in love with Ecuador. I highly recommend Cuenca Bestours and Luis Gonzalez for private tours and excellent service around beautiful Ecuador!

Adrian was our tour guide and we had amazing interaction with him. He knew so much. Not only he named flora and fauna along the way he told us its medicinal uses in Inca culture. We had lunch together in one of the most picturesque place in Ecuador. We had a great time!

We, a group of three friends, just returned from an unforgettable week-long tour of mainland Ecuador, and one of the absolute highlights was having Luis Gonzales as our guide and driver for the entire trip. From the moment we met him, Luis was professional, warm, patient and knowledgeable, making sure we had the best experience possible. What stood out most was his ability to balance structure with flexibility. We never felt rushed and he always gave us ample time to soak in the landmarks and experiences (and take lots of photos). His driving was excellent, and we felt safe and well taken care of the entire time. He also made the long drives fun and engaging. That said, we did have some frustrations with the tour operator, Javier, who we communicated with when booking via Cuenca BesTours. While he seemed nice and eager to help, there was a lack of transparency regarding extra costs—particularly entrance fees, optional activities, and some logistical details. Things were said one way during our video calls but then changed later via email/messages, which caused a few misunderstandings along the way. It wasn't a deal-breaker, but definitely something to be aware of.

We had 2 days based from Cuenca to visit Ingapirca and Cajos park then we went to Quito via Chimbazaro with a night in Riobamba, on to Banos then on to Quilotoa and the next day Cotopaxi. Louis was our guide and driver and was engaging, knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. He was the perfect ambassador for Ecuador and we really enjoyed his company and encouraging approach to all we saw and did along the way. The standard of accommodation was good and in Riobamba excellent. The last day Louis returned to Quenca and Lincoln was our guide for Cotopaxi, he was also excellent and made for a great day out. This bespoke tour was really fabulous and was made even more enjoyable by Louis being such a great travelling companion which gave us such a wonderful insight into the sights, culture and food of this wonderful country. Highly recommended!
