Our recent trip with Cuenca Bestours was fantastic. Four days of great travel and adventure from Villamil Playas to Banos, Riobamba, Alausi and finally Cuenca. Trip went exactly as planned, no hangups and no surprises. Everything exactly as Cuenca Bestours said it would be. Great bus, accommodations and side tours. Tour Guide, Christian was very, very good. Kept us well informed and even gave us some options as we were on the road. Would certainly use them again and definitely recommend them. Thank you, Gracias for a great trip in Ecuador. Victor

Beautiful park, Diego was a fabulous guide, the van was comfortable and the driver was excellent. The altitude slowed me down while hiking but Diego assured all hikers to take our time. The explanation of the park, plants, microclimates, animals and geology made the trip. One traveler in our just wanted to hike but the rest wanted to soak up the beauty and learn. The communication from BesTours was excellent. We highly recommend their tours.

Javier and Cuenca Bestours setup a wonderful City Tour of Quito for our group. Engaging us with the Ecuador people and their culture made our City Tour come to life. The old church’s, city square, Equator 0’00’ and delightful lunch made for a magical day. And then we began our once in a lifetime tour to Galápagos Islands. Unreal! Out of this world, and Javier’s Cuenca Bestours set up a magical trip for us. The attention to detail was perfect.

The tour was wonderful and our guide, Edy Zea was enjoyable, and informative. He was aware that we don't speak Spanish and he interpreted the various craft vendors that we visited with an enthusiasm that matched that of the vendors which was very nice. Additionally, during the drive he answered all our questions about Cuenca and the surrounding areas; cultural, geography, history, and some simple questions like 'why is there no state mail delivery to homes, and no package deliveries such as Amazon. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the multigenerational skilled local artisans in the area.

We, a group of three friends, just returned from an unforgettable week-long tour of mainland Ecuador, and one of the absolute highlights was having Luis Gonzales as our guide and driver for the entire trip. From the moment we met him, Luis was professional, warm, patient and knowledgeable, making sure we had the best experience possible. What stood out most was his ability to balance structure with flexibility. We never felt rushed and he always gave us ample time to soak in the landmarks and experiences (and take lots of photos). His driving was excellent, and we felt safe and well taken care of the entire time. He also made the long drives fun and engaging. That said, we did have some frustrations with the tour operator, Javier, who we communicated with when booking via Cuenca BesTours. While he seemed nice and eager to help, there was a lack of transparency regarding extra costs—particularly entrance fees, optional activities, and some logistical details. Things were said one way during our video calls but then changed later via email/messages, which caused a few misunderstandings along the way. It wasn't a deal-breaker, but definitely something to be aware of.

We had 2 days based from Cuenca to visit Ingapirca and Cajos park then we went to Quito via Chimbazaro with a night in Riobamba, on to Banos then on to Quilotoa and the next day Cotopaxi. Louis was our guide and driver and was engaging, knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. He was the perfect ambassador for Ecuador and we really enjoyed his company and encouraging approach to all we saw and did along the way. The standard of accommodation was good and in Riobamba excellent. The last day Louis returned to Quenca and Lincoln was our guide for Cotopaxi, he was also excellent and made for a great day out. This bespoke tour was really fabulous and was made even more enjoyable by Louis being such a great travelling companion which gave us such a wonderful insight into the sights, culture and food of this wonderful country. Highly recommended!
