The historic site of Ingapirca is small but significant, especially when you learn the history. Even the llamas are friendly, and llamas are, famously, not friendly animals! For me, the other stops were not so interesting, but everybody has their own interests. When booking, definitely include the admission fees and lunch, since you'll be paying for them anyways.

In both directions, the pickup was on time (I didn't have to wait at all), the driver was friendly. Really, the only bad thing was the quality of the roads... and the company can't help that! I do recommend including the diversion to Cajas, since you're passing through it anyways.

We had a great time and enjoyed the scenery. Wilson is a great guide and was able to truly highlight this beautiful country.

We had a great experience. Our tour guide (Luis) did a great job taking us around. He is very knowledgeable and love his job. Javier did a great job setting up our accomodation and transportation. Highly tecommend Cuenca Bestours.

Full-Day El Cajas Park Tour: My dad and I were set up with Diego, the tour guide, and another young tourist. Diego was very professional and knowledgeable of Cuenca the El Cajas park region. He paced the tour well with different fitness levels and was patient. We were picked up from our hotel in the historic center of Cuenca and dropped off in a timely manner. The tour company is very responsive and explains things well via Whatsapp. Highly recommend! one tip I would have is to have more female tour guides, as this probably makes female solo tourists feel safer and more likely to book your tours. My dad only came with me, even though he is not too keen on nature hikes, because hoth the tour guide and the other tourist were males. I understand that the company cannot control this, especially during low demand, but a useful poece of advice. Also El Cajas full day tour does have a challenging 200 meter incline to tackle and skme challenging downward rocky and thick root/trees inclines with quite a bit of mud, so relatively good fitness levels and hiking boots are highly recommended.

We, a group of three friends, just returned from an unforgettable week-long tour of mainland Ecuador, and one of the absolute highlights was having Luis Gonzales as our guide and driver for the entire trip. From the moment we met him, Luis was professional, warm, patient and knowledgeable, making sure we had the best experience possible. What stood out most was his ability to balance structure with flexibility. We never felt rushed and he always gave us ample time to soak in the landmarks and experiences (and take lots of photos). His driving was excellent, and we felt safe and well taken care of the entire time. He also made the long drives fun and engaging. That said, we did have some frustrations with the tour operator, Javier, who we communicated with when booking via Cuenca BesTours. While he seemed nice and eager to help, there was a lack of transparency regarding extra costs—particularly entrance fees, optional activities, and some logistical details. Things were said one way during our video calls but then changed later via email/messages, which caused a few misunderstandings along the way. It wasn't a deal-breaker, but definitely something to be aware of.

We had 2 days based from Cuenca to visit Ingapirca and Cajos park then we went to Quito via Chimbazaro with a night in Riobamba, on to Banos then on to Quilotoa and the next day Cotopaxi. Louis was our guide and driver and was engaging, knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. He was the perfect ambassador for Ecuador and we really enjoyed his company and encouraging approach to all we saw and did along the way. The standard of accommodation was good and in Riobamba excellent. The last day Louis returned to Quenca and Lincoln was our guide for Cotopaxi, he was also excellent and made for a great day out. This bespoke tour was really fabulous and was made even more enjoyable by Louis being such a great travelling companion which gave us such a wonderful insight into the sights, culture and food of this wonderful country. Highly recommended!
