Hike, Snowshoe, and embrace the snowy winter scenes of the Bitterroot National Forest on a winter adventure with Bitterroot Backpacking! Embark on a custom day trip and explore the frozen Bitterroot Mountain range!
After booking, one of our expert guides will reach out to plan the ideal winter adventure with you and your group!
Along the way, your guide will instruct you on how to use your gear, how to safely navigate snow in the mountains, and provide all sorts of other hiking and backpacking tips and tricks!
Your guide will also make you fresh tea or coffee for you while you're out there! Amazing snacks are included too. We can accommodate for most dietary restrictions!
Most routes are 3 - 7 mi round trip with some elevation gain, 500 - 1500 ft. Expect the trails to be snowy, icy, rocky, in fairly good condition, and with occasional obstacles like fallen trees and snowmelt puddles to cross along the way.

Hiking Clothing
Wool or Synthetic like polyester is recommended.
Hiking Shoes
Must be a closed toe shoe!

Sometimes the hike makes us sweaty! It's nice to have a clean set of clothes for the ride home!
