Absolutely amazing, Luke handled everything for me and my son. Exactly what we expected and wanted. My son and I are ready for our next adventure with Luke. If you want authentic outdoor fun, hiking, fishing and just enjoying the Montana mountains he is your guide!!

We had a perfect day with Luke on the float and hike. He was so knowledgeable about the wildlife, plants and environment around us. He did have to make a last minute change on which trail we did because of fires in the area. We trusted him to find the right hike/float for us and he did. So great to have our own guide for all of it! He paced the hike perfectly for us. We also added the transportation with Luke. That was a great option to be picked up and dropped off at the hotel and driven right to the trail. We were only in town for a few days and weren’t renting a car. Floating was just incredible! Now if I could just figure out how to have some float time at home every day.

Luke took 3 of us (two 70 year olds, and a 31 year old) on a guided hike to Camas Lake. It was a beautiful day, and Luke pointed out rock formations, trees, bushes and wildflowers along the way. He brought blow up kayaks and inflated them once we got to the lake.Two of us were dealing with cancer at different stages, and this was a wonderfully peaceful way to spend time in nature and forget about what we were having to deal with. I would highly recommend Luke of Bitterroot Backpacking to anyone, regardless of age, if you’re looking for a day trip in the beauty of the Bitterroot Valley

Luke and Emily conducted themselves as guides in exactly the way one could only hope when signing up for random online events hosted by strangers haha. I felt welcomed, accommodated, and secure the entire time while a part of the group. Luke demonstrated excellent flexibility given the couple of monkey wrenches thrown our way as well as the sort of personability that only comes from a person who truly cares about others. I learned a lot about local flora/fauna and made some friends, there was a perfect balance of keeping us focused on the intent of the hike while allowing room for plenty of casual socializing with felow attendees. I will absolutely be signing up for more events in the future and am only hesitant to continue heaping on praise to the team at BB because I don't want all ya'll discerning review readers to take all the remaining open slots for this summer!

I enjoyed the casual and friendly atmosphere created by Luke and Emily. Luke shared his knowledge about the wildflowers in bloom, particularly the Missoula Phlox. I was delightful.
