Private Day Trip to Valparaíso
This Valparaíso tour includes a round-trip from Hotel Magnolia in Santiago, of about 90 minutes each way —depending on traffic, especially when entering and leaving both cities.
During your day in Valparaíso, we'll visit the following places (among others in between) —our tours are 100% tailor-made, so feel free to tell us about your favorite spots:
• Portales Fish Market: way more than a place where local residents buy the fishermen's catch of the day, it's a natural spectacle of sea lions, seagulls, and Chilean pelicans fighting for their fair share of fish.
• Sea lions: I wanted them to be more like a surprise, but yes, you'll meet them.
• Sotomayor Square: Valparaíso's main square during the city's golden age, allows the visitor to grasp the thriving past of our city through its historical buildings, including the Chilean Navy Building and the Memorial to the Heroes of Iquique.
• Prat Wharf: Openly connected to Sotomayor Square, doing a boat trip or not, the wharf offers a close view to the port's life and some scenic views of the city as well.
• Alegre & Concepción Hills: The former Valparaíso's bourgeois neighborhood, this district is the city's tourist epicenter, not only because of its hotels and restaurants, but due to its diverse historic architecture, vibrant street art all around, and scenic views to different directions.
• 21 de Mayo Lookout: Valparaíso's most panoramic viewpoint will offer you a view of our city in its fullness.
During the driving legs Santiago/Valparaíso/Santiago, you'll go with a driver who speaks English and can offer information during the driving.
In Valparaíso, a local Perro Tour guide will introduce you to the city, where we'll combine driving, walking, and riding funiculars.
