Now, we're a vibrant surf community with our own store and custom adventure cars, dedicated to make unforgettable experiences in Sayulita area. We create a warm, personalized atmosphere for everyone, from beginners to advanced surfers. Our unique open-air vehicles let you soak in the sun and jungle air while heading to hidden breaks. I can’t recommend Marea Surf School enough. This was a true highlight of our trip. We were a large group with three instructors, and every single one of them was absolutely fantastic. Our group included two young kids and several adults, and the instructors made sure everyone felt confident, safe, and had an amazing time. An unforgettable experience for all of us!

Marea Surf School is fabulous. Their staff are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Miguel is a very experienced surfer and an excellent teacher. He speaks fluent English which made it easier for my family to benefit from his instruction. Miguel shared his knowledge and taught us how to read and ride the waves. He was observant and challenged each of us with tips and techniques to advance our skills.

They didn’t ask me or give me a rash guard. I had to end the session halfway through bc of the rashes. Then couldn’t really surf the rest of the week…. Instructor was good tho

Hi Ben, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re really sorry to hear you got rashes during your lesson. surfing is a physical sport and skin irritation can happen, but we always try to prevent that as much as possible. For all lessons, we keep rash guards ready at the shop, and our instructors usually offer them before the lesson or when they see someone might need one. It seems there was a bit of a misunderstanding this time, and we’re sorry we didn’t catch it in the moment. We would’ve been more than happy to bring one over right away. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your instructor, and we hope we can welcome you again for a much smoother and more comfortable experience.

We did a few trips to La Lancha and I took two lessons from Marea while in Sayulita. They also helped us find a boat in Punta Mita to take us out at Bahia. Fantastic experience all around. Highly recommended these guys.

I had such an amazing surf trip with Marea. Juan was the best. He made me feel so safe and supported and was so kind. This was my first lesson after failed solo attempts at surfing and I was finally able to stand up on the board within 10 minutes. Miguel and the boys are so genuine and such good vibes. I will miss them.
