Our Bahía surf trip takes you from Sayulita to the surf breaks along the Punta de Mita coastline for a true surf adventure.
After a scenic drive to Punta de Mita, we hop on a small boat to reach one of the surf spots inside Bahía — waves that are only accessible by boat and known for their longer rides and more powerful sections.
Compared to the breaks around Sayulita, the waves in Bahía offer a different experience and are best suited for intermediate and advanced surfers who feel comfortable paddling in deeper water.
The full experience lasts about 4 hours, including transportation from Sayulita, the boat ride, surf time in the bay, and the return trip.
You can choose between:
Individual Surfing
Semi-Private Surf Coaching
Private Surf Coaching
A $500 deposit is required per person to confirm your booking.
The remaining balance is paid in cash on the day of the trip.
The exact meeting time is confirmed 24 hours before the trip, depending on ocean conditions.
Trips usually run in the morning, when conditions in the bay are often best.
We meet at Marea Surf School in Sayulita, then drive together to Punta de Mita where we take a short boat ride into Bahía.
This trip is best suited for intermediate and advanced surfers.
If you’re new to surfing, we recommend our surf lessons in Sayulita or La Lancha surf lessons instead.
Because this trip involves a private boat and experienced surf guides, Bahía surf trips run with a minimum of 4 surfers.
