Great tour with Rive and his team ! Riva has great knowledge and help us to see so many things in the jungle. The food is delicious and huge quantities !
What an incredible experience!!! We did the 5N/6D Amazon trip with a Machu Picchu extension. Carmen did an amazing job setting up our tour and answering our endless questions. She is amazing! Our Amazon guide Jordy was awesome. He always had a smile on his face and went to extraordinary lengths to keep everyone happy. The sights were breathtaking. The chef prepared beautiful, fresh, delicious meals. Everywhere we stayed was great but the brand new Jaguar Ecolodge was gorgeous.

Amazon Wildlife Peru is a fantastic company, locally owned and operated, and provides the best (and most intimate) experience with Manu.
We had a small group, just one other person besides my partner and myself, plus two boat hands, our guide, and a private chef. We did the reserve zone, which requires a lot of traveling as it is really remote. Our chef, Bernadino, performed miracles, cooking on the boat and at camp under wild conditions. Every meal was fresh, healthy, and delicious. And against all odds, extremely attractively plated. Our guide, Rive, was born and raised in the Amazon and is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Manu and nature. We had a lot of fun learning from him, and joking/discussing a variety of topics together. When you go on a trip like this, you should expect to have to go on a "hunt" - it's not a zoo and you have to look for each animal and hope you find it. Rive had incredible knowledge on the species we were looking for and really went above and beyond to try to find them with us. We saw pretty much everything we set out to see and so much more, this place is incredible and a hundred lifetimes wouldn't be enough to experience it all.
My partner and I did a lot of research before picking, and this company was recommended by many on Reddit. There are companies that will take you for less money, but they were in huge groups and skipped all of my favorite parts (we saw these groups while traveling in the park). There are also more expensive companies that essentially just did all the same things we did (and also did not do some of my favorites!), staying at the same places, and taking a peek, we still had better food ;) The folks working at the office were kind and informative, also going out of their way to help us on a couple things.
This is by far the best value for a trip to the Amazon from Cusco. Plus, as a local and family run business, you are not only supporting Peruvians but you are also supporting their conservation and reforestation efforts.
