Join Ryerson Soccer for the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden for an unforgettable soccer and cultural experience! The Gothia Cup is the world's largest International youth soccer tournament, with nearly 1,900 teams from 80 nations participating annually.  The Olympic style Opening Ceremonies hosts over 50,000 fans, players and families in a speculator show of celebration, music, and fireworks.  In addition to the Gothia Cup, players participate in the pre-tournament friendlies in Orby and Varberg Sweden, guaranteeing 6 matches while on tour.

Flight to Copenhagen, Denmark from LAX...TBD

We will arrive in Copenhagen and board a luxury coach bus to transfer to Orby, Sweden. There, we will check in to our first hotel: Två Skyttlar - Bed and Breakfast Hotel.

Our first full day we will spend acclimating to the surroundings and time change, and kicking off our first matches. 

Matches vs international guests, and local teams, hosted by IFK Örby

We will travel an hour by motor coach to the beach city of Varberg, followed by some friendly matches against local Swedish teams and the host Varberg BoIS. 

Depart the Två Skyttlar and transfer to the Gothia Cup.

Players will check into their school accommodations (TBD).

Parents and families will check into central hotels in the heart of Gothenburg. 

Group Stage games- 4 games in the first round of tournament play..

The Gothia Cup 2024 opening ceremony will be Monday night with over 50,000 participants in Ullevi Stadium.

The tournament continues with finals on Saturday. 

We will take a celebratory trip to Lisaberg Amusement Park and Paden Boats Gothenborg Harbor Tour.

Finally transferring back to Copenhagen.
