We enjoyed a fantastic eleven day safari with Lendimi African Safaris. Emanuel “Ema” Nnko was our guide and driver. He speaks excellent English and is extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and the tribes of northern Tanzania. Ema also has a good sense of humor. Each of our hotels and lodges were wonderful and the breakfasts, boxed lunches and dinners were delicious. Our daily schedule was full of game drives, but also flexible if we requested some down time. We were able to see and photograph every animal and bird on my “wish list” including the endangered grey crowned crane. In addition to seeing and photographing wildlife in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Ndutu area, we also visited the Olduvai Gorge archaeological site, and were guests of Maasai, Hadzabe and Datoga ethnic groups. The Hadzabe community of nomadic hunter-gatherers was probably the highlight of the trip for my husband. The men invited him to use one of their bows to shoot arrows at a target and they were impressed by his archery skills. On our last day we visited a Seela village near the base of Mount Meru. Lendimi sponsors the Boresha Meru Project, which plants trees in the area. We helped plant trees and were invited for a wonderful home cooked lunch at the home of our guide’s aunt, where we met many relatives and neighbors including PJ, another of Lendimi’s guides.

I recently got back from an awesome trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar with Lendimi African Safari’s. This was a trip of a lifetime. Our guides Ima and PJ were extremely knowledgable. The trip was well planned, all logistics figured out with upscale accommodations booked in advance. Lendimi is a family run business which gives a more personable feel to this African adventure. There were many high lites during our trip, but one of the best was visiting the Lendimi’s family community near Arusha for a community feast and tree planting activity. My wife and I have travelled extensively and I cannot stress enough at how impressed and happy we were with Lendimi’s African Safari. You can’t go wrong with this family owned business.

This was a fabulous trip! I felt very lucky to have been invited to go with Lendimi on this once in a lifetime adventure. All of our accommodations were great, the experiences amazing, but most of all the Lendimi staff and guides were exceptional. They were very knowledgeable, flexible and were clearly interested in helping us make the most of our trip. We felt like family in their care. The safari was spectacular and the cultural experiences and visits to the villages were really impactful. Thank you for making this a wonderful experience! I would go with the company again in a heartbeat and will be recommending it to others!

PJ and Ima as our guides and the Lendimi support team provided a lifetime memorable trip. The guides knew every detail about the animals, birds, flora, seasons, geology, the cultures ( tribal and modern) that no question was left unanswered. We had moments with lions, giraffes,, and elephants that were close up and immediate; yet were dwarfed by the horizon to horizon view of the great migration of zebras, wildebeests, gazelles and antelopes. They have a strong eco sensitivity. The support team had us in great lodges and camps. And working with a locally owned company made us feel like we left a positive footprint in the community.

This trip far exceeded my expectations. Our Lendimi guide was knowledgable about the wildlife, plants and the conservation efforts of Tanzania. There wasn't a question asked that he didn't give an in depth answer for. WOW! In addition to seeing an abundance of wildlife, we were immersed in the culture. We visited a farm, a Maasai village, and the village of Seela. We were even honored to visit and spend time at a school! The beautiful people in every location embraced and welcomed us. Our accommodations were varied and always beautiful. Overall, the staff at Lendimi made this a trip of a lifetime! Thank you, Lendimi African Safaris, for an outstanding experience!
