Our guide will pick you up at 8:30am from your hotel to explore the city on foot. Start the day by discovering exotic produce at the open-air Morning Market, freshly farmed from surrounding villages and jungles.
A short walk from the market will take you to the culturally-immersed Wat Mai Suwannaphumaham (“New Temple”), National Museum (Royal Palace) and Hor Phra Bang, followed by lunch at the local noodle shop.
Afterwards, journey through temples of different eras at Wat Street: Wat Sene, Wat Sop Sickharam, Wat Sibounheuang and Wat Xieng Thong. Take a stroll along Nam Khan River to Mount Phousi, Luang Prabang’s sacred hill and a popular spot for sunsets over Mekong River, before visiting the Night Market followed by dinner at Le Calao Restaurant.
Join in on a cruise along Mekong River to visit the mysterious Tham Pak Ou Caves, one of the most respected holy sites in Lao. Along the way you will stop by Ban Xang Hai village to try out their famous homemade alcohol, Lao Lao, before heading to lunch at the local riverside restaurant.
Continue the tour by private vehicle to the spectacular Tad Kuang Si Waterfall, featuring three tiers leading to a 50-metre drop into spectacular azure pools. You will also visit the Hmong and Khamu villages in the area to learn about their traditions and different ways of life. Transfers to and from hotel are included.
