This itinerary is designed for those who haven’t been to Naples before and want a full immersive experience. Our Highlights of Naples tour gives you a rich and varied introduction to the city of Naples and its surrounding areas!

This is how you should experience Naples for the first time! 

This carefully crafted journey is designed to introduce you to the rich culture, history, and flavors of this captivating city!

On this journey we stay for 5 nights in the historic center of Naples followed by

3 Nights in Salerno-the gateway to the Amalfi Coast!

Together with my team of Neapolitan collaborators we have created an itinerary that we love and know you will love it too!

We can’t wait for you to experience all the magic and beauty these places have to offer!

Welcome to Napoli! We ask that you arrive around 3:00pm. After checking in and  settling in,  we will meet in the lobby of our hotel around 5:00 pm and head out for a brief walking tour of historic center followed by a Meet & Greet and traditional aperitivo. We will meet up for a Welcome Dinner later in the evening.

Today we dig in to the neighborhoods in Naples learning about the the city and it's centures of inhabitants, traditions, myths and legends -Spaccanapoli, Quartieri Spagnoli on the bottom and then taking the funicular up to the breezy Vomero.

Exploring and tasting delicious Neapolitan street foods along the way. We will have pizza for lunch at a very typical pizzeria.

You have the rest of teh afternoon and evening on your own.

You have the morning free to wander on your own, checking out the vintage shops, hip boutique, artisan workshops and tucked-away museums within walking distance of our hotel.

Our driver will scoop us up in the afternoon to go to a local farm that grows delicious fruits and vegetable in the rich volcanic soil. We will have a honey tasting and tasting local products, followed by a guided tour of Pompeii at sunset.

Today we go to the lesser-visited Campi Flegrei. You will learn myths, legends and experience breathtaking views! We viist a local coffee roastery followed by a guided tour of an under the sea adventure of Baia underwater followed by the Baia a few steps up the hill to experience the riuns of lavish villas owen by wealthy romans. 

We have a wine tasting a lite lunch in an agritourismo that grows the local products on their land.

Today we continue our exploration of Naples-but we discover the other side of Naples filled with mysticism. We are spending time in the the neighborhood of Rione Sanita and the Catacombs of San Gennaro.

You will have the rest of the day on your own to explore, do some shopping and enjoy an aperitivo, walk along the lungomare and prepare for our journey to Salerno tomorrow for the next 3 days.

After checking into our new hotel and settling in, we explore this beautiful seaside town of Salerno, our home for the next 3 nights. We have a walking tour of the historical center, visiting the famed Cathedral, walking the pedestrian only narrow lanes exploring the ceramics of Enzo Bianco, tasting chocolate from one of the oldest chocolate shops in Campania and of course taking a coffee at a local roastery.

We will meet up in the evening for dinner together

Today we start our day with a guided tour of the massive Greek Temples in Paestum followed by a visit to a farm where they make some of the most delicious products from milk of the buffalo, hello Mozzarella di Bufala, Bufala butter and gelato!

You have the rest of the afternoon and evening on your own.

Today we experience the Amalfi Coast with a twist! We visit some of our favorite towns first by with our driver and then by ferry! This is the the way to experience the Amalfi coast. We stop in lesser visited towns for very specific reasons. First amalfi to visit the beutiful majolica domed cathedral, then Cetara to visit one of the last known colatura factories followed by time on your own. You could have lunch with a pasta that is typical of Campania but with the taste of Liguria. 

We will meet up later in the evening for our final dinner together at a Slow Food Trattoria in the centro storico.

After breakfast you can take your time checking out. You can enjoy the day here in Salerno or head back to Naples and the rest of your trip or back to the airport.
